I got pop ups. I dont want pop ups...

How do I tell if Im useing firefox? If thats something you told me to download, then yes.
When will it ask me? So I want to sign in every time? :eek:16:
I have no idea what a browser is either

Shit! I got this again :(

"program (PUP) on your computer. If you do not recognize it, we recommend that you remove the program.

About this Potentially Unwanted Program
Name: Adware-ISM
Location: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{129201FA-B0AC-49B3-96B2-DEB8B91E727B}\RP478\A0109544.exe

Spyware, adware, and other potentially unwanted programs can harm your computer, compromise its security, and damage valuable files.
"

It's in your system restore volume.

Turn off system restore, then scan with superantispyware, then turn system restore back on.

If it comes up again, come back here and let us know.
Jim

Turn off system restore? I dont have any idea how :(
Its ok if you dont want to waste your time on me Jim, I dont want to become a PIA.

Ok thank you Ozzie, now should I do the "complete" scan or "quick" scan from superantispyware?

Your welcome, I don't mean to step on anyone's toes here, but I'm on...

I would do the full scan just to be thorough. Are you using just the one program (SuperAntiSpyware) for scanning?

To be honest Im not sure...
Is macafee one or no? and I have that trash can cleaner outter...hippo something I recken? I think thats all, but Im getting lost with all this stuff.. maybe I have more?

edit---CrapCleaner from filehippo.com, not hippo something

It's easy to do...you only need a couple...CCleaner is good to clean up loose ends that the scanner programs (antispyware, etc.) take out. They leave little fingers all over and it cleans those out.

As per the thread I started about your puter wearing protection, I now use mostly three for scanning...Spybot, Adaware, and SuperAntiSpyware.
These are scanning programs.

Those are seperate from other programs like McAfee, BitDefender, and the like.

Spybot, I think I have that. How can I check and see if I downloaded that?

If its posted somewhere, just hit me over the head and Ill go look ;)

First, follow through with what you are into...

Do a complete scan with superantispyware, then reboot and turn on the system restore, then go to www.housecall.antivirus.com and let TrendMicro do a complete online scan.

Then reboot, shut off system restore, then turn on system restore.

Im 20 minutes into scan with 66 threats as of now..
When its done, I restart the computer before turning that system back on then, correct?

Run the superantispyware, then run ccleaner to remove loose ends, then reboot and turn on restore, then go to www.housecall.antivirus.com and let TrendMicro do a complete online scan. Then reboot, shut off system restore, then turn on system restore.

Follow that sequence.

I think I am doing alright, haven't had much time to check to be on here lately.. Ill keep yall updated..

So far, so good guys. Havnt had a pop up in a long while! Thank you again :hurray:
