I got pop ups. I dont want pop ups...

I use Spybot regularly, have the teatimer function running always, but like I say, more than one is more likely to get things taken care of. Adaware is good also, but it warns you that it doesn't play well with Spybot although it still works well scanning. I use all three...and then some...

You lost me ... boot into safe mode? disconnect my internet?? Isnt internet what makes my be able to be on DTR?!

Ok fellas, My superantispyware scan is done, is there any info I should post?
I have 736 total threats...

Just tell it to kill them and enjoy the show!!

It is...I was getting ahead of you...no worries. Try those programs first and see if you get get it whipped. There are more things to do if it doesn't catch them, but I won't burden you with it right now.

Did it clean all the stuff it found? It should have asked you what you wanted to do...

Kill what? I know about as much about computers as my horses do..

It says "click ok the review the items", Ill do that now...

LOL... you'll get a list that's pages long...after you look at that, down inthe bottom right should be a continue button, and when you click that it should delete the items in the list.

Ok I did that, now it says I must reboot and asks if I want to now, I guess I do? (that dose mean restart, right?)

Yeah, there will be a few of the files that are in use... to get rid of them, you need to reboot so they can get untangled from things.

Do that... I'll wait

Ok I am rebooted and back... and so far no pop ups... but its only been a couple minutes.. Whats the next step?

and thanks for waiting on me :)

Well, if there's no pop-ups, it's probably gone. We'll see. In the meantime, did you download CrapCleaner?

I will/am doing that now, as long as thats what I should be doing?

alrighty.. I have it downloaded and it says I have 259 problems, Its asking me if I want to fix them...

huh?

what are you running? Is this a program that started all by itself when you rebooted?

I think its what you PMed me.. Registry Defender is called...
I hope I didnt brake it already...

Read carefully...

We are going to Exit that program. Click the 'x' box in the top right corner. DO NOT let it fix anything.

Then we're going to uninstall it, using the add/remove programs in the control panel

I "x" it out, now how do I get to the add/remove programs in the control panel?

you have Windows XP, right? Go Start -->control panel -->Add or remove programs

When the list gets all populated, you click on Registry defender and click on remove

Ok I gotter removed,, I dont understand how I got that, thats what came up from that site?? Or did I do somerthing wrong??
