J/K Rich :)

Looks good...can't wait to get my build rolling...just missing some parts(and $) to do it right...

So today we got the rest of the drivetrain in.

Serviced the trans.....didn't look half bad considering this was two years of crap.

Tomorrow starts the wiring.

You know. Here I was getting all pumped about starting my own build thread, but figured I'd check out how yours was coming along after all this time. Suddenly, I seem to be lacking the motivation to keep up lol. J/K  seriously Rich, this thing just gets better and better. Your a star over here in Jackson. Most of my friends have done a once over of this thread to see the work you do. Can't wait to here it all fired up

Hopefully we get 'er fired tomorrow, but I'm planning on Monday.

Today, all the electrical got done and the return fuel line got finished.

Finally got to turn the key on after 2 months and everything came right to life.

Tomorrow I gotta finish tightening up some wiring, need to flush all the fuel lines and prime the pump.

After that, it's time to put the front of the truck on and get it ready to turn over.

I wonder if the rear leaves will bitch without a 'traction bar' or some sort? Axle wrap. Hate wheel hop, hate it.

I wonder if the rear leaves will bitch without a 'traction bar' or some sort? Axle wrap. Hate wheel hop, hate it.

My problem is all 4 tires soming unglued, not just the rear.

But, a set of traction bars and drive shaft loops are the next thing on the fabrication list.

Tomorrow should be it.

Got 'er almost 100% complete now.

Gotta make the trans lines tomorrow, put the intake and charge pipes back on, top off the fluids and make a final check of everything.

Got a lot done today.

Flushed the fuel lines, swapped the filters on the FASS and primed the fuel system.....

It's shaping up Rich. Looking good...

Remember, video camera on startup date. :D

Everything you touch looks clean and well done Rich (all except the dirty wire harness) LOL

...a sign of an excellent fabricator...I can't wait to see a video of this beast...

We'll see tomorrow.

Go or blow......

I'd be putting my money on GO!!!

This looks great Rich! You have done just an unbelievable job with this teardown and build up. It's been a lot of fun for me (and everyone else I'm guessing on this site) to watch this go from begining to now the near end. Big time kudos go out to you for all of your fab work and what you have done to turn what I thought was a beast to begin with into a freakin' monster!
Being a fellow Cummins owner, I've been nothing but jealous of reading this thread everyday when I sign on. :drool5: :yumyum: Hope to someday take a road trip down to your neck of the woods and see this truck first person and who knows... maybe have you do the same thing to mine as soon as I come across a decent sum of money!

Thanks guys!

I appreciate the words of encouragement.

Hopefully today we make some fire and everything goes off with minimal fuss.

I'm sure they'll be a few little things.....there's just too that got done to not have something pop up.

As long as the oil pressure comes up and nothing shoots out the side of the block, we'll be good to go.

Looking great. I wish you a healthy and flawless start today.

Care to elaborate on that work you did to the front crossmember? I don't think I remember reading about that earlier in the thread.
