Hey Pepp,
I missed something on the math. I want to give the guy 5k and Matt wants 2k to fix the tranny.
I'm at 7k where I started.
The one in W VA is very nice but the logistics of getting down there and getting it home, well it would be tough and yeah , I see your point if he would take 8700$ probably worht it. 2 yrs newer and even less miles.
I really don't think the guy is going to sell me the one here for 5k. It's 15 mins from my house. That 99 is nice though.
 
Ya know what I will call the guy and see. for that truck I'd be in disbelief if he came down to 8700$ from 9995$ but if he did that might be worth the roadtrip. This much I can tell ya, I wouldn't need a poll to make that descision.

Not that it matters but it's Va, not W Va, IIRC we have some members in Va Beach area that could check it out, that is a good looking burb as well, clean title, and runs, mite be the better deal, in todays financial arena they mite take less, plus your play is you need lower to offset your cost to get to you.

add to that the original text of a rebuild cost of around $1500 that someone stated earlier is where I came up with that number...
 
Oh I got ya. Sorry for the confusion. What Imeant was the burb probably is worth around 8500$ but I won't pay more than 7$. Jus because of my financial position. I will give the guy in Va a buzz though. Ya never know. For 8700$ I would "find" the money.
 
Boston is not that bad from here. About 1 1/2. Bradley is very close. we'll see. Pepp you got a place for me to stay after the divorce.... :D
 
Kevin, I am about to list my 99 Burb FS if you are interested.

I can run down the good and bad if you are interested. Positive is that all the upgrades are done. Very strong runner. Some of the plasticy crap on the inside is broke, like center console lid opener thingy. Clean truck, but from Mass. so the bottom is not super clean, but no rust through at all either. The biggest problem I have had with the Burb is grounds. Other than that kind of normal stuff.

I can get pics this weekend or in two weeks, going on vacation with the kids next week.

You can fly into Dulles and I can pick you up if you want to check transportation.

Just an option, but it will be offered here first.

... FWIW I like the Burb more than Escalade, but I have no vote since the Escalade is "free". I hate the 4L60-E in the Escalade, it needs the 80.
 
Thanks for the offer Pillow but if hte deal falls through on the 97 will probably just keep the Tahoe. The only thing that attracted me to the burb was the insanley low mileage. Your burb and my Tahoe are about even so really not gaining. bUt thanks.
