Found a k3500 ecdrw

This is for a stock fan or the Heath fan ? If it's the heath fan I don't know which one he uses. My book will tell me what SD clutch will fit the stock fan.

Well today was a great day of sorts. CTchevy, TD and Matt came for a visit. My PMD did something no one has ever seen before as we tried to adjust the timing. Even left TD scracthing his head. We barely touched the IP , in fact I am sure I didn't move it cause I when to bump it but forgot to loosen the top bolt. we started it back up and it shook like a dog sheetin razorblades. I mean violent. No smoke just violent shaking at idle. randomly revving up. No matter where we put the IP the timing didn't make any difference in the way the truck ran. Never saw anything like and and we just couldn't believe this was happening. Well let me correct that, the guys couldn't, I could. Now I made believers out of eveyone first hand of how that black cloud follows me and things happen to my trucks that just cannot be explained. So as a last ditch effort since TD had one with him we tried another PMD. Truck roared to life in perfect tune. We looked at each other stunned as a new chapter in PMD failure seemed to be unfolding. Bill wasn't so sure it wasn't coincidence and I had to agree but it was too much work to try and hook the one on the IP back up since I have the dual stats so I rolled the dice and ordered a PMD, cable and heatsink from Leroy. Gave me a great price and it will hopefully be on it's way fast. So I still have TD's loaner hooked up but no sink or cable so it is just so I can move it around in the driveway. I yanked the rad out and cleaned everything and I could not get the fan off the waterpump. It looked like the PO Locktited it on and mokey wrenched it so I had to pull the WP so I can install my new Hayden Severe duty clutch. Since I was beating on the WP for a good hour tring to get the fan to come loose probably not a bad thing to just change it at this point. It looked to be original. 200$ for a new one. Ouch. got an ex leak somewhere by the Pass side manifold. Hope the manifold is not cracked. Thanks again to Matt, Tim and Bill for stopping by. I'll let matt do his own and Tim his own the comparisons of Carcode to the Snap On. All I know is Even Tims truck started running funny when they tried to set time so it must be me...Bill is going to change my Avatar name to jinx. NOW CAN I HAVE MY SUICIDE SMILEY ???

Hahaha... It was a great day!

The PMD symptoms were almost as if a cylinder dropped dead, maybe even worse.. Those motor mounts were stressin! Both snap-on and carcode were reportong Requested fuel at 0.0. Yet it was running, and after about 10 seconds of fartin, skipping, and puking, it would runaway rev up to 2k maybe then start the 10 seconds of crap again...

It was odd.. But purred back to life with a different PMD.

It was nice to see, hear, and feel a few different 6.5's, 6.2's, and some a-hole brought a shiny D-Max....

No surprise he was the only one to leave without any grease on him... :)

All in all a great day, with an impromtu visit from TD himself! Who would have thought!

Even though I achieved -1.94 with carcode alone, we gave it the physical movement. Now I can get -1.94 when I want, and the physical movement may help timing as the -1.94 offset is now in the middle of the steppers range, vs the tail end.

Tims truck started running odd when I carcoded it because it set TDC0 at much to advance, due to the physical position of the pump. TD knew this ahead of time, and wanted to adjust it back while we were there, but due to Kenny's black cloud I don't think he was going to, until that same black clound locked the truck in an undriveable condition! Thus the IP was retarted a little, and all was well with Tim set at -1.94.

Just for laughs I want you guys to picture this.

Me sitting in TD's truck, with my laptop, playing with his timing, then I go to hit the APP and the thing was smoking, and bucking and theres Tim looking over my shoulder! Carcode doesn't have an UNDO button!

Tim quickly adjusted the pump, and carcode was able to cycle it to -1.94 and all was well. Test drive was good. His truck sure does take off fast! I sure as hell didn't notice any 'lag'... The truck just pulled hard and fast... 30 - 50 in a flash, then pulls strong until Tim backed out of it (75-80 before I said enough Tim!:) Probably a 35mph zone!

Fantastic day all in all, and I'm glad to meet and thank these guys who've I felt like I already knew for the 4+ years I have and have helped me through many an issue.

It was fun to meet up yesterday. I actually learned a few things hanging with the experts. Here are a few pictures. No Dmax hating....):h

well got her all buttoned up. New WP and fan clutch are on. Rad and coolers clean. Did the 4x4 Oil Filter adaptor seals , fuel filter and oil change. replaced the broken trailer plug. Things I'm waiting on and left to do:
Duratherms(Has WAPS )
Flowmaster crossover and downpipe
Fix ex leak on Turbo side.
Paint and install Dually fender
Remote PMD
These are on next weekends list so hopefully That will be it and ready to tow.

BTW I forgot to ask, Guys think the truck was worth 5k now that you have seen it ?

I think so. Its about as clean as it gets inside, washed/waxed/and fender replaced look great on the outside.

Runs good...

Not to mention the recently replaced IP is a bonus too.

the burb doesn't have a raptor. It has a stock 6.5TD LP. The CUCV has the Raptor.

OH right... I thought you had 2, I forgot one left with the Dodge...

Hate to take parts off the CUCV, but especially being non turbo'd, I think I'd put that bad boy on my tow vehicle, and give the CUCV which doesn't need much fuel at all comparatively, a Walbro, or even the 2000's stockjob.

Poor flow LP could make that nice truck fall short of expectations.
