Well I found out why the Fuel Guage stopped working. POS Chinese made JUnk sending unit I got from Advance came apart. The rod came off it. It snaps in but as you can (hopefully) see from the pics the Old GM one is much sturdier. I used a very small zip tie to keep it from coming unsnapped again. Chinese made JUNK!! What pissed me off the most was I figuring the unit burned out so rather than drop the tank again I lifted the bed up so I could do some painting on my very rusty chassis with some POR15. Well when I pulled the sending unit out and found the rod and float missing off it I was so pissed I wanted to nuke china. So I ended up dropping the tank anyway cause I couldn't get to the rod. I had to compltely empty the tank and drop it.
On a brighter note after I did some painted and put the bed back down I put the nice new simulators on. The went on easy and seem to be good quality(although time will tell if they rust or not).

They go under the lug nuts. Pretty solid.

Looks great! Mines pretty similar underneath, in fact that X shaped crossmember in picture #4 is all rotted thru on mine. I'm going to cut it out and make a new straight crossmember for it.
For some reason my stupid extension for my fule filler (bodylift) wont friggin seal up after swapping the bed. I've been dealing with a little pissage every time I fill up, but tonight it was so bad I couldn't even get more than a couple gallons before I gave up. Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow.
