May also be cross threaded. Had a jiffy lube do that on my Toyota's rear diff. Never was able to get the fill plug out. Made changing the hog head and refilling fun.
Get your minds out of the gutter. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE TRUCK.
How do ya'll in the regions that get lots of snow and ice deal with the build up in the rear fenders? Had an iceberg on both sides that filled the fender well and was rubbing on the tires and setting on the tail pipe.
That's SOP for stock glow plug operation. It will cycle for 10-15 seconds allow plugs to cool then do it again. Once truck starts it will cycle a couple times if it is cold.
The NAPA Heavy Duty steering components are made in the USA by Spicer IIRC. The lower grade/cheaper Napa components are made in China.

Better to make sure the block is good than to build...
Like I said the Zoom and Southbend have the best rep for keeping the center section intact in stock trucks.
Got my clutch from Summit Racing. Think the slave cylinder was the Brute Force (same company as Zoom) from Rock Auto. There might be a vendor on the forum that stocks them as well.
You've probably busted the center section out of the clutch disc.
+1 on old style solid pilot bushing.
Your best bet on clutch assemblies are the Zoom High Performance or Southbend. Luc (OEM) just plain sucks, have a bad rep for the centers coming out.
You are looking at ~350 for the Zoom...
