I also found this tip on my endless search for answers. I did try it but it didn't help but it didn't hurt so what the hell.
On a side note, internal Transfer pressure is set in the fuel inlet of the pump. As a pump wears, internal leakage increases and the blades/liner/blade spring all start...
Clear fuel tube will diagnose air prob and sending unit isn't that expensive or that hard to change. I did drop my tank and found that sending unit was newer and was not leaking. Also had strainer without the bypass valve so I just removed it. Anyway bottom line in my case anyways is everything...
In the comments for that video on youtube the owner said he had fixed the problem and it turned out to be his sending unit leaking. This was causing it to bleed out over night giving him air in his lines making the fuel solenoid stick. It sounds plausible but I would start planning on an IP swap...
Yeah I checked the timing it was 12.5 and TDCO was 1.0. I know it's out of range but haven't got around to adjusting it. The truck has always started fine in the cold since I've owned it and I don't think the timing has changed. And I did do the KOKO TDCO relearn when I installed the GL4. Im...
Was wondering how much of the glow tip should be red hot when running off standard WTS times. Some things I've read seem to suggest that the whole tip should be red and other's just about a 1/2 inch from the tip. Anyway I tested mine by removing a couple and grounding them to another plug and...
Engine was up to temp and I originally checked with a solus and I remembered reading that snap on scanner readings were skewed so I disregarded the readings but today went to see my buddy who works at GM and checked with tech 2. Those are the readings I got. He didn't have alot of time so I left...
Well the reason I ask is I checked my timing today. It was 12.5 with a TDCO of 1.0. So would doing the relearn change it at all. I also just installed the GL4 and tried to the KOKO learn. Didn't get a stumble or anything but found out today that there was a boost solenoid code so figured thats...
Ok I'm a little confused here. I've read the FAQ and many other threads but I'm still not sure on this one. If I do a TDCO learn can that value change without physically moving the pump. TIA
Yeah that was the requested fuel rate. Sorry I thought the thread was about the difference between the amount of requested fuel over stock PCM. Solus doesn't show actual fuel rate. Curious how GMTDscan calculates that.
I got the GL4 just over Christmas. I took a run today with the snap on scanner from work. It showed 81.6 mm3 at WOT. Also found something else interesting. When I push the pedal to the floor it was only showing 86% throttle. So with moving the mats out of the way and pushing pretty hard I got it...
Thanks for the welcome. I migrated from another site that was getting a little bloated. I read and understand the manual glow plug override but want to do something a little different and with less hardware. I have been hovering around here awhile but I usually don't post because I take the time...
