I have a little exta cash this month and want to do some preventative maintance and fix a couple problems on my Suburban. I was looking for a set of glow plugs on ebay and found this auction for injectors and glow plugs. Since I just got the truck last fall with 223k miles on it, and I don't know alot of the history of it, I thought a new set of injectors would be cheap insurance. Before I use someone off of ebay, I want to know if anyone here has had any experience with them.

They sound like medallion injectors. Glow plugs not sure. Seems like a good deal.
 
Unfortunately, that is WAP Glow Plug with bad records of early failure like 2 to 3 months. There was an old thread at DP, I am not sure if they had fixed it or not but there still have people have challenge with them.

You can try the GP, if it flakes out, I am sure Tim will probably replace them.
 
I've purchased GP's and an IP from Tim about 5 years ago for an '84 6.9 Ford. I can go out there after it sets for 2 months of the coldest weather we have and it fires right off. I put them on a manual switch, and 5-6 seconds is all it takes. (And half the time the thing is running on a 50/50 mix of WMO and diesel-----still starts.

He's excellent to deal with. If you have question, call him. He list his number.
 
I just saw this and wanted to chime in. I have gotten injectors from Tim a few times and all was top quality. He is an EXCELLENT guy to deal with and answers emails sometimes even at night. I would never hesistate to deal with him but yes he does sell WAPS and WAPS don't seem to have a good track record in 6.5s although alot of CUCV owners seem to swear by them. I put 60gs in my CUCV and I gotta say it doesn't start all that great. I have suggested to him a few times to become a vendor here. He was a vendor at the old site until the new owners took over and jacked the rates through the roof.
 
Stand up guy. I ordered the kit and ended up returning it for the remans and ordered Duraterms from another vendor. no issues, no drama.
 
I ordered the kit tonight. I emailed Tim and asked him if I could substitute the Bosch glow plugs and for a small adder he is supplying them. Good guy to talk to and easy to work with.
