What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Just got back from the shooting range with my son Colby. We went in the Suburban and no issues. He said he's been doing regular errands and it looks like he's gone through 1/4 tank and no more stalls. Fingers crossed on this.

P.S. I was shooting my Sig Sauer P365XL 9mm that I bought last Fall. First time with that gun. Very nice and fun to shoot.

Hopefully the Suburban is cured.

As far as the Sig 365XL, I have really been eyeballing one of those for a ccw pistol. I know a guy that bought the Sig 365 at first, then traded in and got the 365XL. He said he likes the 365XL better.

Sig is one of my favorite brands, all of mine have served me well and have never let me down, very reliable.

We bought Colby the Sig 365 per his Birthday request. However, after using it he suggested I get the 365XL because of my large hands. He feels the 365 is a bit small for him. We both shot the 365XL and like it. Colby has his CCW for California.

Was dumping trash and decided to take a closer look at the fuel lines that are still in the trash cans:



You can see the shredded remains of the one o-ring. It looked like it had become glued to the fitting. The other o-ring was completely missing.

Installed the Mod Mafia tee fitting for the LP pressure gauge, then drove the ‘94 Suburban around on some errands. Did 8 miles and no issues.

Those straight through mufflers with the louvers, I was told if they are turned to catch the exh. they are quieter than the other way around.

Already got Mine installed. I just took a glance through it, it didnt look like they were louvered to catch, or bypass, the exhaust. Jut looked perforated to Me, and, now it is welded into place and I aint cutting it out to check.

Some are likely different, my SSD was lovered, my Diamond eye I don't remember.

I shoulda took a sscond glance. If it is louvered I would have had him install it to catch more exhaust.
It is a lot quieter though just the way it is. Still has a nice sound when getting into the throttle too.
I just had to try it with just the straight pipe to see how loud it would be before installing the muffler.

I installed mine to be louder so to say 10 years ago, today I would do it different.

Still a lot quieter than my buddies 454 with headers and mufflers that dump behind the cab. That gets old real fast.

This is where welding in flanges on each side makes it nice so you can flip it around if you want

For some reason, even when I was a teenager, I loved the sound of straight pipes on a vehicle, but, only if they was run straight out the back and a little beyond the rear bumper by a half a foot or so.
Then they sounded real nice if the back windows was rolled down and did not reverberate in the cabin.

The Diamond eye has the band clamps, SSD just has muffler clamps. With some heat the muffler can be removed. It isn't that bad that I'm looking for a job. No drone, which is what I hate

Colby informed me that he did some further driving in the ‘94 Suburban running errands and robbing a bank to fill it up. No stalling issues.

I thought he was saying thats how good it’s running and is reliable now! But Colby is in Cali, so he is probably paying $6.50 a gallon...
