What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Corrected the coolant temp gauge that had stopped functioning. The gauge's sender isn't the one on the T-Stat housing (which sends temp. readings to the ECM) but, the one on the front of the driver's side head. I removed the connector, sprayed both socket and plug with Electrical Contact cleaner, scrubbed a bit with a nylon brush, flushed with the cleaner again and then blew everything dry with compressed air. Gauge functions as it should now. Finally, an easy fix.
