The KOJO Tune - Available now!

Just looked out the window and saw a UPS truck going around the cul-de-sac. Got all wildly excited and giddy, but the S.O.B. went right by without stopping.

OK it's here!! Now what do I do? I know where to find the computer, and I suspect it may be a good idea to disconnect the batteries while I swap them out, but what else do I need to do? Isn't there a key on-key off relearn procedure or something? Door open, left foot on floor, key on-key off, right foot in, do the hokey pokey, or what?

And stupid question, where is the vssb located? I've changed speed sensors on the trans before, but I've never done a vssb like this.

Thanks!

Do the hokey pokey, and then you turn yourself around.

That, my friend, is what its all about.

Vendor should supply instruction:thumbsup:

VSSB is right under the PCM.

White box.

KOKO is key on engine off throttle pressed firmly to the floor (watch out for mats etc) for 1 min then key off hold the throttle to the floor for 1 min. Then hope your pump is in the right spot for a decent TDCO. Car Code works good for OBD2

If you want to take the drive to WOrcester I can time you up, however I have no tool to adjust the Pump if need be. But I was able to get -1.94 on mine without moving it. Lucky? Probably.

I kind of thought the vssb was in there. Havent done a tdco adjustment, but it's on the list. I'm going to change the computer and vssb right now. So key on pedal down 1 minute, then do you keep the pedal there or let it up? Sounds like hold pedal for whole two minutes, with key switched off after one. Is that correct AK?

Matt, you're right, some instructions would have been nice. Or a receipt, or a list of parts shipped, or a bill of lading, or a piece of paper with a smiley face drawn on it. Something. I didn't even get a yummy candy treat. Still waiting for the ftb and rattlestop.

Here is smiley for you dan :) Maybe your candy cames with your FTB or rattlestop..

here is little copypaste aabout tdc relearn:

1. Start the engine and let it run until coolant temperature is at least 170 degrees F. Then turn the engine off.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position. Do not start the engine.
3. Prepare the PCM to activate the offset relearn by placing and holding
the accelerator pedal in the fully open position for no less than 45 seconds. Then release the pedal.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the “Off” position for 30 seconds.
5. Now start the engine and make sure that the coolant temperature is 170 degrees F or higher.
6. As soon as the engine coolant has reached 170 degrees F. and the engine speed is below 1500 RPM, the PCM will automatically learn the new TDC offset. A slight stumble in engine RPM is indicative that the new TDC has been activated.
7. when you have access to scan tool Verify the TDC offset reading.'

I Use autoenginuity while mking those so i hope there is not any typos in those directions.
