Road Trip !!

So we got into Vegas about 8 am rented a car , a ford focus. I liked the cars layout and such but the tranny sucked. It would shudder pretty bad when you took off from a light. Got worse as it got warmer to the point the RPMs wold jump about 1000-1500 before it would catch the next gear. Didn't get as much done on the dodge as I would have liked. Spent most of the day chasing tools ( thanks Will) exchanging rental cars and fighting a rusted in lower ball joint. Sounds like were going to have our own mini GTG here. Paul's stopping by Friday afternoon and hopefully Will can make it too.

I'll leave here early on Friday. Get work done in and around Baker NV and shoot down US-93 to get there as quick as possible.
 
Had I known earlier, I could have sent the can out. Been stagnant at my place for over a year... :wtf:

I know I've already signed it and I think Paul has. Not sure if Will would want to bother with shipping it. Maybe Paul could pick it up on his way back home. I think there's a couple of guys near him that could sign it. Paul gets around quite a bit maybe he should be the traveling oil can mascot for awhile. :)

I know Will and Big T have not signed it. But yeah, not cheap to ship (as you and I both know Les) and the box was long gone by the time the can came back to me from (Chris) SCTrailrider
 
Yeah, I could ship it, that weird no auto parts shipping clause I had expired at the end of 2013, milk Can wouldn't have counted anyways. How did that start out? Threadlink?
 
How are 15000 signatures going to fit? Oil can ver 1.1 maybe?
Maybe we need another one or two roaming around out there. Then at special occasions join them up, but watch out the power generated from that much energy might start an earthqake :wiggle:
 
Given the amount of money spent on shipping that thing around, we could have purchased a 6.5 dedicated to just driving it around.
Doubt I could get it to Big-T's this trip and not sure if he'll be around his Bear Lake place on the 17th when I head down to 29 Palms.
Course, you could ship it to Will and he could forward it to Big-T and when I'm down that way again later this summer (working an event between San Diego and Big Bear/Santa Barbara and Bridgeport) I could pick it up and bring it to Salt Lake and get SSForce to sign on and maybe a couple of others (JHornsby and Jammin 6.5).

Otherwise, next trip to Pomona is in November....
 
So got the ball joints in what a PIA. My ball joint tools don't fit the dodge front end very well. Had to redneck/hillbilly quite a bit of it. Axle seal on the pass side was leaking pretty good so we decided to change it. It was pretty easy to get out and I'm still trying to come up with a backwoods way to install it.

So Paul just left he dived right into the greasy leaking steering box. He took my for a ride and I must say it will set you back in the seat pretty good :) . We did have a little excitement on the ride I think Paul got more excited about it than I did I think. I'll let him tell about that. Lol Will will have to wait to meet up with Paul . He did let me drive it a lil bit I was envious of the power.
