Got some more work done. Put some coating on the inside of the outer fenders to protect a bit better from rust. Got the flares and flaps installed on the new fenders, and one installed so far.

Also hit up the junkyard the other day. There were 2 6.5 trucks there, one was engineless and the other looks like it had some oil/coolant thing going on. Thats where i picked up the D-tech PMD! Score, i know have 2 spares and 1 shot one. I really went to the yard to get clean fender bolts, which was a score. I also was looking for the crossmember that hold the front of the fuel tank up on longbox trucks as mine is rotted/cracked badly. But all trucks there still had the beds on. Grrr.

If anyone is parting out a longbox truck please let me know as i am in need of this part.

Also ran into another snag. I got the specs on the WH1C and the play is outside of the limit. I think it would be very smart to rebuild this turbo.. So now i am on the search for a rebuilder. Could i do this myself?

You were pretty rotted! My 95 has a non matching bed, dark green cab and teal green bed from a fence post jumping in the middle of the road side swiping the bed.

Stupid fence posts! lol

Im looking around to see if i can get some quotes to rebuild this turbo, i just dont want any issues down the road. If i can get it done for a decent price and me not having to waste any time on it i might just go that way. School starts next week!

Hate to say it but the rebuilds around here are over $200 and for an extra 100 you can order a CKO 40II

Do you happen to have a website for this HX40II, this is the chinese unit correct? But everyone has had good luck with it so far. May be in the cards if i cant keep this rebuild cheap.

alot of auto parts stores (around here at least) can get you a color matched rattle can for a quickie repair

I might be looking into doing that. I have the color for my truck in 2 spray cans but they are 30 bucks a piece custom. Might have to cheap out for now.

If I was in your shoes I would be rebuilding the unit you have. Id be alot happier with a genuine holset. Not that theres been any known issues with the knock-offs but with your semi-fresh motor, i wouldnt want to chance it.

Truck is looking good with the new fenders. Looks like a genuine truck from the northeast now!
