more pics notice how much thicker CT vanes are over the TD07s, dummy me I forgot to grab pics of the turbine section of the CT, maybe Slim can provide that when a new one comes in, cause this turbo ain't coming off the truck for a while :hand: I'm having too much fun wid it.

Had a out of town visitor go for a ride in it, another 6.5 Diesel nut Alex aka North Maine on several fourms, hasn't found us yet but I expect him to show up at any time, as we were climbing a fairly steep bridge over the river near my house, I believe his comment was "this is one fast truck".

I just drove my HP-4/TM/GM-8/4" exhausted Burb last nite, first time in a while, the GM-8 combo is zippier off the line over the TD07, so when some ask what is down side, it has somewhat lessened off line performance, up side is better mpg, I still haven't towed big with my TD07 yet but Slim says that is where the TD07 excells over GM turbo. When he's compared the 2 in towing routine, my empty driving tests show the TD07 does more with less pressure wise, than the GM turbo,

GM turbo has to work harder to move same cfm of air builds quick on bottom end drops off at top end, vs TD07 making adequate boost on bottom end and better boost at top end, this isn't a turbo if you are looking for best 1/4 mile times, it isn't any worse than a GM set with stock programming, by seat of pant driving my Burb will outrun my truck I think off the line, but truck will outrun it 30+ mph I'm thinking.

Exhausted? You make it sound like it's tired, maybe your hands are tired from holding on............I bet thats one "Tast fruck"......Good for you, enjoy.
But.....If you could only have one, which would it be? all way combo......P/U or Burb, GM X or Mitsu......Just one rig, pick carefully.

Currently my 1 rig choice if I had to abandon one or the other would be the truck with the splayed main engine (finally finished waiting to be installed), Chinese turbo, HP4 modifed for CT, Pane, & Nos, may move the ATA IC to the Burb or sell it if WMI works as well as Ian/Bill say it does, the CT or TD07 moves more air at 7 psi than GM-X turbos do at 12psi boost. So maybe IAT won't be so high as to need a lot of spray which has been my concern carrying enuff water to make a decent long haul heavy tow, vs unlimited amount of air

Hey just to chime in on TDs truck, when compared to mine, (keep in mind I've been at sea for 2 1/2 months) I feel like the instant trottle hit is similar( TDs will still smoke me no doubt), but what really is impressive is that at about 35 mph he hit it again, not flooring it but just giving her juice, and it was pushing me back in the seat until he let off. It does blow some smoke on take off, but nothing horrible. One thing I noticed as well was that there was NO turbo whistle at all... my truck has much more whistle, yet not nearly as much power. Overall the truck was exactly how I'd like mine to be eventually. Great set-up, I was really impressed.

My rig is such a dog when it comes to speed.......4.63 rear, 6- 19.5 million lb wheels and don't forget the Power robbing loudest fan clutch on earth.

Chris1500, chicagoTDP, canadianrigger and now DOC got the cool Fast trucks........I can't even tow them.....these guys fix "before" they break.

Sorry for the rant, It's just speed envy.

Glad you like the new turbo, made a couple of small changes to it that I wasn't sure would be just right. Guess I might have done something right this time, somebody please tell my wife 11:.

On a serious note I have begun the process of finalizing an order for a quantity of the turbos, made to the same specs as the one Turbine Doc has. So soon I will become a vendor for a bolt in replacement turbo for our 6.5. Price should be rite close to what it costs to buy a GM-8. The turbos will be hand fabricated at first so there will be some waiting as we fabricate each one as they are sold.

I would like to think this will finally give us a reasonably priced Turbo that compliments a modified 6.5 or a stock 6.5. Time will tell, thanks to Turbine Doc and Hank1948, and the others that have backed this project when others pooh poohed it at it's inception. We shall never be over charged for a replacement turbo again.:sifone:

Now THAT made my day. Hey without Turbine Doc, Hank1948 and a couple others, most just laughed us off as nuts with another gimic, I am happy that we can't be held hostage to high priced replacement turbos.

I havent got a solid cost on all of the items; but hoping to sell between 6.5 and 7 hundred, plus shipping. Dam US customs tarrifs, and cost of shipping to the States, plus insurance.

Then shipping in the states is a killer, looking to maybe send them US postal service, they seem to be the most economical at the moment.

Just trying to get all the loose ends tied up. Once again thanks to Turbine Doc and Hank1948, I think we have most all of the bugs worked out, One minor fab left for the end user to make during installation. The end user / installer will have to modify the oil return tube, pipe cutter and insert supplied silicone extension
