How does Rock Auto work for you guys in Canadia? That's where I got my high volume.

I've bought from Rock Auto before, their cheapest base price was $10 more than I paid, and it wasn't a Melling pump.

On the oil pump, I chased down all the pumps trying to find who made the best etc. Turns out Melling makes them all, just relabeled for different companies.

If you know of one not melling, who is it?

None, I just went by the name given. Some show a different shaped pickup.

The one I picked was still the cheapest.

The different pick ups were for the different oil pans. hmmwvs used 4 different pans for applications, one of which was used in all the civilian hummers and also later some van engines, and 2 different pans in the cucvs. Look for the nsn # - that is the national stock number for military.

If you find a manufacturer just call Melling, they will tell you if it is one of theirs. I went through a list of 17 or 18. The guy would not tell me who all they make them for, but would tell me if I said the company.

That's good to know, I'm glad I picked one that looked right, A Hummer/military pickup may not fit right in my pan. I'm not looking for more challenges.:D

I had brought these 2 photos to color match the paint, the lady mixing the paint wanted to make it even more blue, lighting can be a bugger.IMG_0517.JPG IMG_0518.JPG
