You may be thinking of "Acadians" They are from the East coast..
Bummer.I've bought from Rock Auto before, their cheapest base price was $10 more than I paid, and it wasn't a Melling pump.
None, I just went by the name given. Some show a different shaped pickup. On the oil pump, I chased down all the pumps trying to find who made the best etc. Turns out Melling makes them all, just relabeled for different companies.
If you know of one not melling, who is it?
I had looked at that one, this one was more but shipping was less and it did specify Melling.

Shipping was also sooner.
Yeh, but it still costs more to my door. Also the pickup looked different? Its a military part aka factory part aka Melling.
Gotcha.
That's good to know, I'm glad I picked one that looked right, A Hummer/military pickup may not fit right in my pan. I'm not looking for more challenges. The different pick ups were for the different oil pans. hmmwvs used 4 different pans for applications, one of which was used in all the civilian hummers and also later some van engines, and 2 different pans in the cucvs. Look for the nsn # - that is the national stock number for military.
If you find a manufacturer just call Melling, they will tell you if it is one of theirs. I went through a list of 17 or 18. The guy would not tell me who all they make them for, but would tell me if I said the company.
Could be, at least I'll know where the oil leak is coming from.Wait 3 years...you might wish you had left it black
