Opinions needed - Performed Optical Bump

Dude. Hell no to ra. They have been selling knock of stuff. Probably not knowingly, but they are a clearing house apparently.

Call AC Delco and ask them if they will warranty or stand behind AC Delco parts from ra and they will tell you NO.

AUTHORIZED DEALER.

And yes I know they are a vendor here. There is stuff I buy from them, even after they sold me the glowplug that destroyed my piston, then wouldn’t even bother telling me go to hell- just left all responses unanswered. And when I contacted bosch over it, they basically said “we would love to help you but can’t because buying from ra was same as buying at a yard sell.”

Choose wisely what you buy and where.

I had remembered about your GP issue with them but was thinking the pump was an ok thing. I'll have to look to see who around here is actually a Delco authorized dealer other that our local chevy house. I'm betting their prices are double that!

Whats crazy is when I look on the ac delco site for authorized online retailers they list amazon, ebay, RA, stock auto, and summit when I choose water pumps! I've bought things from summit before, maybe I can call them to verify their authorized.

Man, searching all these sites has gotten me more confused and scratching my head! looked up on summit, they dont list the GM number 88894035 but looking up application for a 99 model shows the 251-603 pump but with a different GM number, 19168609.

looking on stockwise they a GM 12708487 number bit neither of the other two part numbers. then I looked on gm parts direct and get 19168609 again but nothing comes up for the delco or the above mentioned gm number.

this is nuts making sure I am looking at the HO balanced water pump! the only place I can find the 88894035 pump is on ebay on a listing claiming to be an authorized retailer. with funding at play here I'm starting to lean towards Napa since their local and stand behind their warranty.

I have a NAPA pump on My truck. It seems to cool okay. The right rear cylinder head hangs right at what the ECM says the temp of the engine is.
Been on there for at least a couple of years and have not had a problem with it.
Next pump I inztall though is going to be a Delco.

It could be ra corrected the issue and is now authorized. Back a couple years ago when i called them directly about it they weren’t and the guy warned me against them specifically. He said they had known & proven knock offs from there. Also said they were pursuing lawsuit against Amazon for it at the time.

I will have to call them and see, also make a call to AC delco too. I have ordered before from RA and the parts I received seemed to look legit, but I know the Chinese are awful good at copying stuff too! Although I have never tried warranting anything from them.

No uses a Dmax fan
But.... my middle name isn't Krazzy for nothing lol just kidding

I do remember looking at different electroviscous clutches and think I saw one with a 4 bolt pattern. I just can't remember what vehicle application it was for.

I'll probably end up going with the Hayden heavy duty thermal clutch unless I come across a d-max fan in the scrap yard or something.

doing some snooping around I found the the Hayden 3200 and the GM 1540133 / 25790869 is a 4 bolt fan mount. I will need to do further research to verify fitment but that one is electroviscous and reverse rotation. it also uses a 20" diameter fan blade. if everything matches up, I may just take a trip to the local pick n pull and attempt locating one to try lol what is there to loose at a junkyard!

I've got plenty of parts books here at work at my disposal :D
