There may be a problem. it just goes to show how when you want something you overlook the obviuos. He had the burb listed before and the guy who won it posted bad feedback saying problem with motor, elect and title. Now he didn't say anything about the title until I told him I wanted it. The electrical he said is a problem with the taillights which he did list in the relist. He also relisted the a/c problem but I woner what "problem" with the motor. it seemed ok to me. I emailed the guy who posted the bad feedback. I'm going to wait until tommorw to give him the deposit. Hopefully the guy will email back otherwise I will have to go over the truck again with a fine tooth comb. Guy seems a little shady now. I mean he did say the truck was in an accident before I did the carfax. Also he said his father is the second owner but the carfax shows three owners but it was leased for 22 miles so if the guy who leased it bought it that might look like two differnt owners. Not sure how that works but otherwise why would he lie and say only two owners?

Kenny, you keep talking about running the Tahoe and burb 'without fuel costs'. Are you doing Biodiesel or WVO?

-Rob :)

Oh no there are costs. I get the diesel at whosale. I am a Fuel dealer. I have a 330 gal tank that I keep full of diesel for my big trucks. I also use in my two 6.5s which now will be three.

On the windshield leak check the cowl. There is a screw or two on the passenger side that go through from the outside into the passenger compartment. A dot or RTV on the screw and the leak is fixed. A glass shop told me this is a common problem on these trucks.

Thanks. My problem now is the guy had the truck listed and someone won it then posted the guy selling it is a liar and a crook. He said there is problems with a/c electrical and the motor. He disclosed to me the a/c needs recharge and tailights have an issue. These things mean nothing to me. all easy fixes. what worries me is what the guy meant about the motor. It seemed good to me but you know when you want something , you miss the obviuos. I emailed the guy who posted the bad feedback but he has not replied. I don't know what to do.

Just check it out good. Perhaps a stalling problem is a motor problem?

Perhaps the skid plate is missing because the guy got tired of taking it off to grease in there? I've seen people do that before... If the truck is in such good shape as you say, what could be so wrong that you can't tell?

AFAIK there is no way to hide head/gasket problems, check oil and all the other things, blow-by etc...

A problem for one person who isn't in-tune with the 6.5 is the reason we get these trucks at great prices. Take your time, look it over good. Jack it up check out front end, etc etc. Perhaps take the vin to the dealer and see history.

Use your best judgement.

Also, keep in mind some people will say something negative to discourage other interest. You probably know a hell of a lot more than most in what to look for. Just be thorough.

Leo

Here is the feedback posted about it. I really wish the guy would email me back. I'm going to stall till tommorow . Also would you give the guy a 400$ deposit if he doesn't have the title in hand ? He's waiting for a duplicate ?

Here is what the previuos winner of the truck posted about the guy who is selling it.

DISHONEST!! MARK SOUNDS NICE BUT LIER!!PRBLMS W/ TITLE, MOTOR & ELETCAL,A/C,WTF!

Kenny at this point your knowledge is going to be important. Go over it really good once again. I would also if you are going to drop a deposit leave as little as possible. Ask the seller about the negative feedback and see what he has to say about it. Hopefully the original guy responds to you with information that will help in your decision....

You should get a test drive, and as long as it will travel 90mph without shaking and the tread wear is not whacky on it now, then its probably a great truck, without frame/suspension issues from the accident. Windshield could be coincidence. Bent rims, wonder if their from his accident, but maybe he didnt really know. One of my Camaro rims has take some hard hits from a couple people hitting me on them and me sliding into a curb and they mount tires just fine and balance with little effort, but probably technically slightly bent.

I left him a message and I guess I will give it a once over again. I did tet drive it to about 40-50 mph. I thought it ran very smooth. The only issue I saw was it has remote start and it didn't start. It seems like weak glows or ect sensor cycling to fast. It started fine when I manually started it. For all I know that could be "the motor" problem.

Problem is this, say the guy who won it origginally was a ahlfway decent wrench and he saw a headgasket issue. Then the guy loads it up with gm tabs and relists it. I would never know unless the guy emails me back. as good as any mechanic is, things can be doctored to fool even a good mechanic.

Ask him to sell it outright and cancel the Ebay listing. He 's gonna take a hit if the deal closes through Ebay. Maybe you can get a better deal......

The listing already ended with no bidders which I thought was odd but the title was probably the issue. I don't understand why he even listed it without title in hand.

You know the other thing is if the guy who posted the neg feedback has not responded to two emails I sent him, I wonder how much credibility I should give it.
