Have 6.5 turbo diesel engine want to replace it

kinda depends on if you are working for a battery(company) i worked for battalion so i wasnt really a crew member, now if i was in a battery(company) i would have beena crew member.
 
buddy of mine has some injectors for sale they are 6.5L Turbo remanufactured diesel fuel injectors.

0 430 211 097

These injectors are rebuilt by Mylex International to meet OEM specifications.

he wants 20.00 a piece are these any good
 
Cheap price, I would still get them tested for equal pop pressure if you got them so add that into the cost. Some rebuilder specs aren't up to neccessary standards.
 
he also has some new one in the box. he says he opened one up and the injector says 0 430 211 097 then after that it says 973 in large print. but box says 0 432 217 276 followed by -770.
 
Are you getting the complete injector or just the nozzle? For just a nozzle its a average price, if complete its a very good price.
I can't say anything about how good they are though I only ever use the German Bosch nozzles and pop test them.
Where are the Mylex made?
 
the brand new ones in the box are Bosch and the rebuilt ones are built in the good ole USA. they both are complete injectors
 
I got rebuilt injectors from Accurate Diesel set at 100psi of factory which were ~$300 for the set IIRC. They seem good and have 25,000 on them now. 7 were bosch germany and one delphi that I stuck in #1 cylinder just incase it becomes a problem. I wish I could have got them test before installing but I have heard they sell good quality.
 
Thats a real good price on them then. I would go for the new bosch, at $20 you be hard pressed to beat that deal. Have em pop tested for around $10ea.

Just looked on ebay, those mylex can be bought for less than $20, but add shipping.
 
buddy says the bosch ones were made in India and he says he will take 255 and thats including shipping thats for all 8 is it worth it?
 
If your asking me, are you saying he has the German or indian? $255 is $31.86 ea shipped. Are they pop tested? (probrably not for that price). IMO a good price for indian and very very good value if German.
 
Is it the heat shield on the turbo? Hold your hand on it and see if the clicking stops.
 
heat shield is on and i put my hand on it to see if it was lose and it was still clicking, it was NOT lose
 
Does the impeller have any end or axial play? If there is axial play it could be touching the housing.
 
i will check tomorrow when i have some daylight, i would like to thank everyone for all their help on this project
