Have 6.5 turbo diesel engine want to replace it

no i could not find any block numbers or anything guy wont return phone calls a buddy is coming over tomorrow and will look it over he has some kind of book that he says he needs to look at while he looks at the engine

ok so stupid questions... i have read a few post where people said there diesel was Hiccuping, what does that mean

Could mean a couple things but generally an electonic IP PMD going bad, something you dont have to worry about. Could be a bad LP, clogged fuel filter, or air in the lines though.

ya but when i start my truck the engine likes to rock and it smokes alot im getting new engine mounts tomorrow

read through thread and didnt see it, so I must ask: how is the harmonic balancer and the accessory drive pulley? but from your other threads it does sound like there is a trans. issue

i havent checked that stuff yet, what am i actually looking for when im looking at them. i thought i posted about my engine rocking and smoking but after 5 minutes the rocking and smoking stops

Its pretty cold there, which causes white smoke and rattling, and the fuel can gel, or at a minimum it gets harder to flow, along with the oil, a video may help to see how yours is. The IP may not be timed, or the cold advance may not be functioning. Your fuel heater or LP may not be working.

i can hear my block heater run, im gonna look for my video camera today and take a video and find some place to post it im thinking youtube, then ill but the link on here if anyone would not mind taking a look and listen and give their two cents.

I don't think you should be able to hear the block heater anyways. You might be hearing your LP if it is when you have your WTS/Glow Plug Light.

well when my block heater is pluged in i hear like a bubbling/ticking sound u have to be really close to the truck the hear it and there has to be no noise around the hear it

Just go get a wix. Nothing really special about them. Look at yours and make sure you still have a filter with a metal top, if you do try to get the same kind as they are better quality than the new plastic topped ones imo.
