Ahhhh ... I'm home!

Yep... and JiF has been buried deep at work for the past week or two, with no immediate end in sight. That means a lot of crap just sits until I get around to it.

Not great.

And the noobies were always there, mixed in with the dumb questions... the big difference was, we used to have more guys saying "have you filled out the checklist" or "have you used the search"?

Now we seem to have a higher proportion of guys saying "change this part...".

I'm gonna crap on some of them soon... and I better not see much of that over here; the best way to avoid that is to never let it start.

:iagree::yesnod:

Buried is a slight understatement here... I'm just now working on recording projects from our church's Men's Conference...... almost 5 full months ago now... uggghhh. It's only 12:30 in the morning... ;)

anything a few of the older members can do to help out over on DP? might as well make myself useful. ):h

I saw TD signed off for good at the place today. Figured I'd better cement my position over here before I get left behind.

i hope TD will be on this site. GMCTD as well said goodbye today. from what i've heard TD and GMCTD left the diesel page and came to diesel place to help start the 6.5 section. along with jifaire and others the 6.5 section took off. hopefully this 6.5 section will take off like DPs 6.5 section did.

JD ditched the place too, eh? That's a pretty big hit for that site. I and many other folks were lucky enough to have 'met' Tim and JD when they were running the place. I know they've heard it a hundred times from a hundred different sources, but I and many other owe both of them immensely for the help, knowledge, and work they put into that place.

Hopefully JD will be visiting here from time to time. Otherwise it sounds like I better git rid of my F250 (still can't bring myself to call it a "F-o-r-d", seems blasphemous) and buy a Cummins so I have an excuse to ask for his help. ;)

Well you are allowed to speak Ford here and none will think less of it; just so long as you do it in the Ford part of the forum. Heck we didn't string up KNKREB when he went to dark side after the bus got crispy

Just couldn't live with Daniel J. Hunter so I switched back to Dan Hunter. Last time I use the autofill to complete a registration.

Hey Im here , Wasnt too attached to the other area. Work as an aircraft mechanic for Continental in Houston.
I just drug home a non running 92 C3500 dually 6.5, 5 speed last week. Paid $1400 for it. I towed it on a trailer with a 93 C2500 5.7 from oklahoma to texas. 400 miles. Worked that 350 pretty hard, got 6.5 to 8 mpg.
They said they had someone r/r the clutch and that it made noise after that like they left something loose and they ended up just letting it sit. They took the utility bed off it. It then didnt want to start after sitting.
I cleaned the bat connections and new batts and found the lift pump not working. I will replace that tommorrow and see if that does the trick. When I get it running I will pull the trans and see whats up.

Dave Edit: Wow I almost got stuck with member number 666
