Just Another Diesel Guy
Anybody close to a dyno, those runs aren't cheap, I've made a couple, if interested let's take up a collection to fund a few dyno runs, only way to make it happen as a community.

So whos unloading cheap GM8s????
So whos unloading cheap GM8s????
I just found out I've got one about 5 miles from the house. Need to stop by and see if they mind running diesel trucks. http://www.performanceautosport.com/dynojet.asp
After taking a good look at the pics I don't know if a dually would fit the roller.
There is another one it town but not as convenient. Couple more in the state hour or two away.
I'd thought about checking into making a couple dyno runs after I get the new motor broken in and ATT installed.
Not quite ready to unload mine yet, but with 270,000 miles on the turbo I don't think I'd stick any of the forum members with it.

Hey, does this mean I can take all these GM-8 turbos and go over to DP and sell them there? All they told me was I couldn't sell A-Team Turbos without a business license...
):h
Traded one of mine for a 9mm Charles Daly Browning Hi-Power clone, still need to pull the one off the Burb maybe trade for another goody I needs
I'd a made that trade.

There is a guy with a dyno about 3 miles from me but will only run cars. He said it wont hold up to the power of a pickup truck but they strap down 900hp drag cars to it. :rolleyes5:
When I was searching for dynos in my area I found reference to one in the state that had problems with a pickup. IIRC it was a Cummins and they broke the tiedown straps. Truck took out some fans and rear ended a Mustang that was in the shop before it could be stopped. Remember it isn't just HP its torque also even though that wouldn't be an issue with us.

400+ tq from a well set up 6.5 is force to be rekoned with, I think also possibly the way a Diesel builds torque all way up, as opposed to a gasser just hitting a peak torque then off of it.
