trouttrooper--Life can be rough at times, hang in there. This thread just proves that your attention to detail is a big plus for safety.
Will L--I've never heard that saying before. I love it!!

At Home Desperate get their Deck Mate brand coated deck screws. They have a bugle head on them and won't split the wood as easily as long as you stay away from using them close to the end of the piece of wood. The coating on them keeps rust away for a long time. I've had some out in the weather...
I used a wire harness out of a 94 Burb to make my harness for my 94 pickup, which happened to not be wired for power mirrors. The mirror wiring is within the main wire harness that goes across under the dash. The only way to access this wire harness is to pull the dash, and strip the wires out...
Since you like the looks of duals, could you fake duals and still have just the four wheels? What I'm thinking about is take the inner wheel of the duals off and just put the outer wheel back on. This would still look like duals, without having six wheels creating extra road friction. I'm not...
For your exhaust get a Diamond Eye system. Best bang for the buck. You'll need to do a bit of searching as I don't remember where the most recent best buy was located, but it will definitely be less than $300. They have a 3" down pipe which then transitions to 4" to the back, and can be...
We have an 05 Buick Century with the 3.1 motor. My wife drives it just over 50 miles a day to her job and back home, about half of that at freeway speeds. She gets 23 to 25 MPG with that type of driving. She tends to be hard on fuel mileage with pedal to the metal speed increases. On long...
As far as looks are concerned it could pass for a Massey 35 (gasser). When I was in high school I worked for my uncle and he had a 35. It was a sweet handling tractor. It had a three speed tranny with two speed axle. It also had a nifty way to change rear track width, and your tractor looks like...
The fan clutch not working soon enough can be eliminated. Last summer I played around with the thermal spring mod and got that sorted out. The spring wasn't the same as seen in the mod instructions so I had to improvise. The fan now is on almost all the time. For this reason I undo the mod...
WW, I appreciate your comments on the copper/brass vs the alum rads. Coming from someone who tows heavy, and daily, means a lot.
The rad I currently have was checked and tested by a rad shop before putting it into use, and given a "good condition" assessment. I have a piece of window screen...
I needed a replacement radiator and on Craigslist I found a used, good condition, copper/brass rad. It works good, never have a problem, UNTIL I start towing. I can tow on the flats all day long without a problem. But, when I start going up hills the temps start climbing.
I have a DMax fan...
For those with an OBD 1 system there is another way to temporarily get the lift pump running. You will have to manually make the connection so this is just a temporary way to get power. If you look along the left side of the pic dieselslug posted you'll see a small black covered fuse container...
I don't remember anybody of that name or description. But, I'm poor at remembering names.
If I was to see that person, or a picture, I might remember them. I spent years working in others houses, occasionally meeting someone in town who remembered me, which leaves me scratching my head trying...
Did you do any fishing while you were up around Williams? I spent a couple years in the Grants Pass area in the early 70's, with over a year living over the hill from Williams at Murphy. The Applegate Valley is a beautiful place, with many good memories of that area.

The strap is unbent so it transfers tension straight to where it is mounted onto the tensioner mount location. This is the stock location for the CS130 alt mount. It has never given me any problem.
Just for good measure I'm including some pics of my alt swap.
Pic 1:--Shows the difference in...
I'm very interested in how this turns out. After the other spool valve thread I've been wondering how the valve might work with the ATT with the larger housing (if I remember right that was the difference found with the ATT that came put together wrong).

Just be cautious about using Glowshift gauges. I went the Glowshift route due to cost and wish I hadn't. Out of five gauges I have only two still working, both mechanical. The fuel pressure sender went bad, replaced it, went bad again and gave up on it. The coolant temp gauge needle started...
When I put the CS144 on I made an all new upper mount using a 1/8" X 1" strap metal about 3 1/2" long, and no bends. I drilled the holes about 2 1/4" apart, which put the alt closer to the tension pulley spring than stock. I have about 1/4" space between the alt and the tension pulley spring. If...
