I can't remember, but it will be alot higher than checking at the glowplug hole. I just set it high enough so it don't smoke white at idle. I set the pump at the stock line, and then fiddle with the charge psi and the retard cam ,to get idle timing right.
Yea,I still have your old head and rotor. I didn't realise you had many miles on this pump . I know it looks suspicious ,that the pump did work and know doesn't. Its either inj timing or actual dead cyls. Since you have a pulse adapter check inj timing. Keep in mind the online specs will be...
The way it missed and started to smoke worse, when you give it more throttle, sounds like retarded timing. I would also be worried about the custom fit pump plungers.
I will enlarge the closest steam port, and do a rear crossover hose for the heater. Or drill and tap the rear of the block. Yea , I tried block filler ,and it seemed to bend the rods . It was fine driving normaly, but if I beat it 2 times in a row ,it would through a rod every time.
You will need vaccum for the hvac controls. The dmax vans use a nice little electric vacuum pump. I would probably ditch the hard plastic fuel lines, but there is barbed fittings made for them.
I guess he knows wich bank is #1 ? I recently diagnosed a lly with a otc scanner. It was knocking on cyl number 8 also. Only scanner glitch I had was not being able to shut off cyl #1 injector.
