After asking n8in8or about his fuel system the other day, I realized that I never updated my post from mid 2017 where I was asking turbo questions.
I got the truck together later that year and got to shake it down before winter (when it got parked). Over the winter, I had a real Holset 56mm wheel and housing put on the cko. I also enlarged the w/g to 13/16" and had the turbine exducer housing bored 2mm to reduce drive pressure. After loosening the w/g tension the boost peaks @14psi on long hard pulls. Fuel system is stock with the 4911 cranked tight. The truck works great- egt and ect are easy to control with 1200deg being possible only on slow steep climbs with 7+ tons in tow. I put about 6k miles on it last summer, including a 830 mile round trip into Ontario pulling the camper. I am considering a stage 1 DevilsOwn water/meth system for next year as I feel I could use more fuel above 2,400rpm, but I wouldn't be able to use it when towing without some water to keep egt down. So water first, maybe more fuel later!
