    If it breaks you're Effed. You can't drill an hole in the stub and tread a screw in there cause it'll just spin around in the bore.BTDT.

    Be careful with prying it out , they break easy, ..the 0 ring on that thing can be really sticking in there and it is deep down in the bore. If you need to pry then do it on both sides at the same time, once the 0 ring breaks loose it'll slide right out.

    IP problem,....could be failing stepper motor or sticking advance piston. I had that on my 98,...only in cold freezing weather though and only with first start in the morning Replacing the IP solved the problem

    Advance piston stuck past the point of no return,.... stepper is unable to pull/push it free as the connection to the piston is a spring loaded valve(fuel pressure controls the movement of the piston. Solution. 1)take stepper motor off the IP( take 2 torx bolt out and move stepper to pass side...

    A lot of "mechanics" are nowadays called "technicians". They don't give a rats ass as they are paid to replace parts fast at a flat rate and certainly are not going to R&R a U-joint once it is in.
