A lot more in there than the old NP203.I don't know, seems like a lot of shit that's goes into a transfer case rebuild. More than just a chain. Probably special tools, etc. and that does not even address the encoder motor for 4 Low.

Those seem like some well built units. So which transmission do I choose?:
HEAVY DUTY UTILITY (bullripper.com)
EXTREME DUTY TOW MATRIX (bullripper.com)

Sounds like either one would get the job done but it's an extra grand for the Matrix. I'm assuming yours is stock now with how many miles on it?So which transmission do I choose?:

Thats why they are still in business. They charge enough to cover costs and labor. The place has been in business for decades. Outstanding reviews. Definitely not cheap.

I think that was an issue clear back on the 700R4 which was the predecessor to the 4L60e. Not sure if it was an issue on the 4l80eThis sounds like a 4L60e thing?
You got pretty good life out of that one!232K miles. I do tow a Conch 27 saltwater boat which probably weighs in at a max of 9,000 lbs. But I'm not doing this daily.

If you are not adding a big power bump, not towing a lot more than you did before, etc. I ask what is it you need to upgrade for? What is your roi?
