Walbro FRB-5 Group buy

OK, I'm in. I was going to wait until I checked my fuel pressure, but I don't want to need a Walbro next week and have to pay more. Where do I sign?

Got you down,

Leo I assume you are down?
We need atleast 3 more to place the order.

I might,how much pressure/flow

To give you guys some real world numbers.....my FRB-5 flows almost exactly double what my stock lift pump did. I get 2 liters/minute out of the t-handle drain with the engine off (pulling through a pre lift pump filter also).

my question is should i spend the money now since i am doing the rebuild. iv been thinking that i should what do you guys think???

I'm in for 2

OK, I'll only charge actual postage if its more than $9.

So:
1)Leo
2)Dan
3)AK for 2
Thats four need one more. I can order more than 5 if needed, but it all has to be on same order, so If your thinking, don't "think long, think wrong" and miss the boat.

It doesn't look good for the FRB-28. I have sent 3 emails asking about the pump in the last 2 months and here are the responses.

Jan 12:
I'm sorry but the FRB-28 has not been released as of yet. I foresee
not for another month or so

Feb 25:
The pump is finishing up in the drawing stage but I have no idea of a
time line.
Stay with me on it

Apr 26:
FRB-28 is not active and available, contact V.E. Petersen Co. for
pricing.
No price increase at the moment but it will happen before summer.
Pump division was not sold, don't know where that one started

Responses went from 4 weeks to on the drawing board to we don't have such a thing. I would't hold out for it. I was but I think I'm done.

*UPDATE*
REceived this Email from Luis last night.

OOOPS,
I meant to write THE FRB-28 IS NOW ACTIVE AND READY FOR YOU TO ORDER

Speaking for myself an FRB-5 is good enough for me. My truck runs well with the factory LP, so this LP will be more than adequate.

OK sorry everyone, I have been running all day and just got back in for the day. I did not have time to order the pumps today, but will do that tomorrow around 10:30-11:00 am CST.
Anyone still wanting in on this order just post up before then.
I can do a group buy as needed and as long as the prices holds out.
Thanks
Leroy

OK, Got the pumps ordered. Once they get here I will get back with you all via PM and send the invoice at that time.
Thanks everyone.
Leroy

Also, just got the word that the FRB 28 is NOT being built at this time and is atleast two months from even starting to be built at the soonest. If it ever does come out they say it will be 50gph at 15 psi.

My supplier just emailed this to me today.

"A bit on Walbro History.
Walbro had [at least] two divisions:

Engine Management - They made the small engine carbs, bellows pumps and old Series 6000 pumps.

Aftermarket - they made the OE pumps for 'vette, viper, etc. and they make the high-pressure in-tank and external pumps.

A few years ago, TI Automotive bought the Aftermarket group and some finance company bought the Engine Management group. They both were allowed to use the Walbro name... but you see TI Auto on more and more of the high pressure literature and stuff.

The national warehouse begged and pleaded with the Engine Management folks to not raise their prices, but they didn't listen. Quite soon, the FR Series pumps are going to take a serious price hike.... anywhere from 30 to over 100 percent hike, depending on the model.

I ordered all the FRB-5s I could get my hands on.. but that's only 25

Sad, but true...

Later,"
