Truck Makeover

that is cool Leo...I watched the bale video but it wasn't that detailed...it didn't show the arms working...now this one adds a whole new perspective...

talk about craftsmanship...

Thanks Paul.

If anyone noticed a gurgling sound just before the arms were fully back, and the slight hesitation coming forward, it was due to an air bubble in the lift cylinder that I hadn't purged.

I noticed you have non extendable bale arms

I would build extensions before I had the telescopic arms. Most who have them are forever changing kinked or pinched hoses. They are also a $1500 option on the bought decks.

Just a couple pics of the truck working, delivering a couple more skids. One more like these two then I have to concentrate on the farming.

I love this truck with the bale deck on it, lots of power and stability compared to the old Dodge.

The frost has been out for a few weeks, we just got our first moisture last night and today. About an inch now, it was needed.

It doesn't know if it wants to rain or snow though, kind of cold and damp.

One more then I'm taking a break from welding. I have to get some farming done.

I brought this home today, it was a little heavier than I thought it would be. Total weight was 35,926 lbs. I'm happy the DOT wasn't at the scale when I weighed it:hihi:

The old girl pulled it around 55 mph all the way home, I wouldn't want to do it often though.

Most of the time it was around 900 F and about 6 lbs boost. I never let it past 1050 F.

The highways around here are horrible from all the truck traffic, they took the rails out about 10 years ago. I felt every bump with that weight, new shocks might help.
