Resurecting New Engine

I see on that last pic you missed the flash that chews up harnesses that MGW talked about. Looking really good though.

Just for clarity, grind the rough edges of the block right by where the starter mounts. I'd run around the block grinding all "flashing", or jagged edges. If you're up for it, Evans coolant is a lifetime product with NO water, and no mucky deposits or corrosion. You wouldn't have to buy any more coolant system upgrades.
"Non structural, cosmetic rust is an anti-theft device"; they're less likely to steal yer truck...
Great work so far... almost done!

Yeah no kidding, i wanted to paint another coat last night but the shopping with the girlfriend somehow lasted till almost 9... So tonight i will paint another coat, and paint the last coat saturday morning. Then sunday i can peel of the tape to see if i did a good job. Rich i dont think i have a plate anymore, i broke it. (overload).. LOL But whatcha gonna do...

Ok, i read up on Missys' thread. I think my brother used the last of our grinding wheels the other night, so i will get one in a few minutes when i run to the hardware store for work. I will grind it tonight and put another coat of paint on. I will put the pics up either late tonight or tomorrow lunchtime!

Here are the pics of my second coat of paint and the grinding before and afters. There are also a few pics of the new rims WITH centercaps!!

You are well on your way!! BTW, got your email with pictures, -loved the t-shirt!! ):h

You are becoming a 6.5 knowledge database and don't even know it!!

Got the heads today from Clearwater. They were packaged well. Very happy with the sale, i will send my cracked cores back out to them tomorrow. I am now on the verge of buying head to block attaching devices. I really want to go ARP (159.99 at Summit), but TTY's (100 for fel-pro's) are cheap, but i am going to gl4 it and want to go the max boost allowed. Kinda a "you might as well" thing... I have to order them by this friday so i can get them next week during my week of vacation... Yes vacation, working on a rusty 6.5..... Guess its better than work, another day in paradiase!!

Oh yeah, derrr, here are some pics. These were taken with my camera phone while at work, so i had to do it quick... Then the last one where they are both in the bags is at my house when i dropped them off at lunchtime...
