Resurecting New Engine

More pics of me taking the painters tape off and installing the new timing chain. You wouldnt believe how much tighter the new one was over the old one, i would reccomend replacing it when in that vacinity. Major difference.... And my gf new exploder with 56,000 original miles.. This was going to be turned in for a cash for clunker rig, but we saved it!!!

Aluminum bright wheel cleaner (Acid) will make the aluminum stuff sparkle.
It will not do much for the steel though.

Living in a place that sees salt on the roads sure does make for loads of work when trying to clean things up.

Keep up the good work, OHHH and Ya gotta love that CAT Yellow.

More... Stuck, i need a power steering pump pulley puller, due to the custom fabbed fisher plow pump bracket used on my rig... Found out today that my 200k mile turbo has no play in the shaft whatsoever!!! I thought it was going to be all sloppy, it is actually in better mechanical shape than my new turbo which has a tiny amount of play. But physical appearence might give me some issues reusing mine...

Absolutely amazing.
Especially when comparing the shots of the new motor against the other.
Hang in there.

Yeah, it pretty insane. Anything on the truck that carries oil vor a liquid is leaking it. The water pump is leaking out the small hole that tells you if its going to die, all oil lines leak many times over... Not pretty...

Tonights pics...
