PMD (Pump Mounted Driver) Issue Must Read

Hey guys, I had to jump in. My BF usually posts in here but my father almost crashed cuz of the PMD issue in his GM Diesel PU. I would have been so sad if my dad died because of a defect that should have been fixed. Everyone in here says GM knew about it.......Why the F did they not do nething????????????? If this guy is truly trying to force them to make a wrong into right,,,,,,that aint a bad thing.........Hey nvrescue I went to that link you posted and noticed search and rescue at the bottom and went there and saw hummers on the website,,,r those the ones you are having issues with? they fckn rock,,,nice rides. also do you do sar? If so, kudos to you ;)

Who is your BF?

I have been watching this in the other forum as well.

From there, the problem arises from the Hummer 6.5 TD. Apparently, AMG does not have the 11 years IP policy that GM did and did not affect most of us anymore. So, if you want to sue, AMG is the company to sue.

As Matuva pointed out that nvrescue knows the solution just refuse to hear about it. It is as easily as telling the AMG top engineer to join this forum and read the Technical Library.

It is a simple solution that can be solved relatively cheap. It does not have to involve lawyers and corrupt politicians in whatever name they call themselves (NHTSA, etc.). Just remember this, any government solutions is not good, to put it mildly.

careful guys Kayla's here to defend him!!

Kayla and nvrescue are on the same computer.

Hi again "Kayla".

Looks like you guys caught yourself a SteakSauce as well huh?

Can you check if they are on Steaksauce's computer?

Some people just like to stir things up!

We are probably just as well off ignoring all this BS.

:drama:

The two trolls who were registered under the same IP from the same computer yet listed their locations as being San Fran and Reno will not be joining us any longer.

Well they didn't even survive a day here and he wants to take on the GM Corporation. Good luck there DUDE

But this is why I love this forum. The BS is taken care of quickly!!!

Good work Mods :hurray::hurray::hurray:

you guys took care of him quick. You don't like to poke the trolls? It's more fun that way. ):h

 come to the site with the most 6.5 lovin peeps on the planet,:grouphug:, and try to rally them to sue GM? :mad2:
I've heard of poking a hornets nest with a stick,, But I never would of thunk to pee on it!! :slap: :point:

We all despise stanadyne for their crappy PMDs, and GM for their crappy technicians but I love them and GM for venturing into electronic diesel injection before almost anyone else. Once you tweak these things its amazing.

I will add my 2 cents worth.

Screw all these sue happy pukes that want to make a Bazzzziiilion $$$$ of GM.

The issue with the failed electronics would have never happened if it had not been for the odiots at EPA that mandated all the electronics to satisfy their greed for CONTROL.

The original DB2 IP on the 6.5 was wonderful will little or no troubles for many thousands of miles.

The issue with the PMD was a convoluted pissing match between GM and Standyne over technology property rights and the results were less than perfect.

To fine a class action suit is ludicrous.

I have ZERO use for these types of suits.

I have owned GM rigs that have had the PMD fail at very inoportune times and it has never caused a situation that I could not deal with.

The steering and brakes are of no real problem. Yess you have to push a little harder on the pedal and take a little more twist on the wheel but, NO friggin biggy.

A blown out tire is of a far more serious issue than a fried PMD

Get a stinking life and forget this very juvenile endevor.

Sits shaking her head.

they kept mentioning the millions of trucks on the road at risk. Given the many years that have passed, the relative unpopularity of the 6.5, and lastly the rareness of the 6.5, considering a lot less people considered a diesel pickup for a daily driver then than now, my question is how many 6.5s are actually still on the road, endangering families by the truck load? I wouldn't think it was a huge number. I don't see an awful lot of them, and I very very rarely see Hummers (except the dead one in my cousins shop-remember the $2300 fuel tank and brake job? Still won't run right, down a cylinder)
BTW, 6 kids in a H1 Hummer? Time to buy a Suburban. But don't buy a 6.5, why not get a 7.3 Excursion and leave us the hell alone. Then maybe you can sue Ford for inadequate front suspension and steering parts.

He has the 100 grand to buy that useless contraption they call civilian hummer, but keeps whining about a $200 part he has to replace once in a while. What a jackass!!
