First off no it's not mine. It's going to be TTS member Last Chance's. We will take pics of the saga. More to come.

Had the timing been right, I would have had a p400 from Heath in my truck this past summer.

Alas, I was in a bad spot and all we could get our hands on was a 6500 optimizer....

You have said you have 18k into your truck now? and its a up north rustbucket? why not just get a Dmax?
Nothing personal but I came from up north and I know what the salt does to vehicles my whole life, I don't have 1/3 of that in my truck and its as solid as the day it left the factory, with a new Optimizer in it

No, you're making assumptions.

It's a western truck. No appreciable rust. Nuts and bolts spin off with the impact like the day they were installed. It's also head to toe with crown rust control. Even the cab corners are solid and original.

I've got about 18 into it because I got caught in the midddle of a cross country move with a failed engine. Family in the vehicle, house loaded in a moving truck ahead of us, 5000kms away from the destination, a 35 foot trailer in tow, a hard deadline to meet and had to drop 7 grand on a new optimizer from gm and 2500+ on misc parts and labor.

A new truck was not an option. Canadian in the states. My bank wouldn't finance out of country and god help you when you try to cross back over the border with a vehicle purchased out of county. Not to mention where do I register it, who insures it, etc. Emergency repairs are not a "taxable" item at the border and oh boy, was this every an emergency repair.

Had that bad situ not happened, I'd be into it for about 8 grand including the 5 grand purchase price...not that I wouldn't have prefered a duramax. But this ol girl is good formanother 10 years or more now.

Hopefully....
