I looked at it yesterday. I actually see no easy way to put a plow on it. The lift covers where the mount would go on most if not all systems. Let say, it's more trouble than it's worth to do it.

eh, go back to stock. IMHO (and no one elses opinion at that probably) stock ride height is just fine. I take it IFS lifts are bolt on, or is this a semi-permanent setup?

I really dont need to lift mine anyway. Id actually have to re-gear with the current 3.42's and anything bigger than 265's would not be too good on the hills here. I put add-a-leaves in the back and cranked the t-bars to eliminate most of the sagging 17 years of plowing gave it. So mine sits about 1.5'' higher than stock which is perfect! Plus having a 4'' lifted wrangler takes the need away lol.

It's bolt on but I think the steering knuckles may be aftermarket. Some kits are. Not sure. I''ll sell it before I'll drop it.

BTW update on the air cleaner. I put a K47 on it and the tiny bit of smoke coming from the dipstick and oil fill is gone. I do believe that SS Diesel cone filter was not causing enough restriction for the intake to pull the crankcase fumes in. Truck is fine now. It really is running good. Scary actually.

4 inch Diamond Eye(no kitty this time)
Turbo Master
K47 intake
I am not sure if the IP is turned up but I believe it to be.
Autometer Full sweep pro pyro, FP and Boost
Those are the mods.
The repairs....
New Hg's with Arps
New rear main seal
New balancer seal
Used tranny sawap
New clutch
New clutch fork, ball, slave, master, line
Numerous wiring issues addressed.
Almost every nut and bolt replaced as most gm factory bolts were replaced with hardware store junk
All heat shields and braces for turbo re installed.
Starter brace re installed.
replaced steering column and had to replace parts in new column.
New a/c condensor, orifice and pressure line(thing blows wicked cold).
Sure I am forgetting stuff.
Still to do...
Water pump upgrade
Gm thermostat(have it)
New correct rad(has a gasser aluminum POS)
Starter needs new soleniod.
Spot paint repair.
Truck has no rust.
Ohhh and most important, in fact maybe I'll do it today as I keep forgetting...
Peel that friggin SS Diesel sticker off it.....
Truck seems to run out of pedal quick. I suspect I am not getting full available use of the rack. I checked the throttle cable and it looks new and in good order but does not look like it is giving me full fuel from the IP. I have not had a chance to grab someone to confirm. Possibly the wrong cable ?? I could cut the end off at the accel pedal and put a new crimp on the cable.

To update that list, cooling upgrade done with 99+ WP and Hayden 2840 with a 9 blade steel and factory 4 core copper rad. Gm factory stat put back in.

Alot of heads look like that. At the time I was not sure of the condition of the lower end as I got the truck as a basket case and didn't want to spend 800$ on heads when the bottom end could have been garbage. The heads seem fine. I have been driving the truck to work everyday with no issues.

Sold it last night...

Hope you got a good bit for it. That truck was clean.

oh BTW stop selling shit you enjoy driving. Remember the tahoe? I wouldn't have sold that rig unless i was offered a ridiculous price tha twould've been stupid to turn down.

It broke my heart to sell it, I really liked the truck but I am working class and can't afford 3 vehicles and that one wa the least useful. I could not plow or tow with it and it was a reg cab so no good for family. If it was an ex cab I would have taken the lift out but I just did not need or could justify paying taxes on two RC trucks. I just got the friggin Reg renewal for my CUCV and the plates are damn near 300$. My insurance went up 300 and I got a he3fty credit card bill from buying all the parts and not thinking about paying for them....:D. The upside is I now have the money to move forward on the CUCV and get the 5 spd in it. I just found a bellhousing today for 125$ with the fork. I'll start a new thread on it. I am sure that truck will not give the new owner any trouble. Next to the CUCV it's the best running one I have owned. Once I put the 5 spd in the CUCV I'll be happy again.
