Gauging interest in a new intake adaptor for the ATT

Plenty of 6.5smdying out there now. Do a search of the bone yards and you should be able to find a clean intake. Place a WTB post here and someone should have one.

So, if I had already done an ATT install which means I had to cut my upper intake per the directions, what would be the best course of action for me to be able to utilize this spacer? Have the piece that I cut off welded back on or use a longer straight silicone hose?

Are you running Dennis tune? I think yours is a 1994?

Finally had a chance to look at the WTA setup. Really neat.

Right now I'm about maxed out on funds for the engine transplant, but am already thinking about next year's upgrade path for the cooling system (Horton or Hummer fan clutch) and the WTA IC looks like it might make a nice addition to the effort.

I'll make you a great deal on mine. $100 for I/C, Rad and electric pump. I have no need for it. The pump was $85 and never even run. I don't know if the cooler was more of a restriction than a help though? but you can get a bigger one if needed.

Im welding the end plates on your adaptor today.

Jay! got your adaptor done, but I need to hang onto it for awhile to take messurements from.

Deal! Only question at the moment is whether the spacer will allow rotating the Peninsular Intake 180* and not interfere with the plug-ins (OBD II, boost bolt, etc). In re-looking at the IC prototype pictures, seems that it might / does.

When the time comes, will dyno it and answer the question of whether the ATT plays well with an IC or not (per commentary on the Place that I recently found).

Tease . . . .!!!! :eek:16:

Actually, that's Ok as I have no illusions of getting the Burb back prior to New Years . . .

When the time comes, please put a big ole set of 'bunny ears' all over the box(es) of my diesel porn as I am still not overly happy with my wife's re-org of the garage and claim that ". . .nothing moved." Either the tow chain, mower blades, chainsaw, and whole lot of other things grew legs or the dog was *real* bad! Yeah, the more I think of it, am *sure* it was the dog but the furry little b!t<h won't admit it. :skep:

At least I found the Fluidampr and gave it to the mechanic to install on the Burb before it moved, on its own, *again*.

Post 132 and 136 show 180* rotation from each other. No problem with sensors either way:thumbsup:

Jay, yours is ready! Can you PM me your email so I can send an invoice. Thanks have a Merry Thanksgiving

Leroy, did you see my email from last week? If not, I'm ready to order the Peninsular one as well. I'll anodize this one though so no need to paint it...I'm still cracking up. Also I saw that I had a box from you when I got back and have to assume it's the bolts. Thanks for following up on that, I didn't even realize they were missing.

I did not get an email (that I remember anyway). Did you get my PM?
I'll be building the adaptors after Thanksgiving. I'll wait to send the invoice, I'd like you to see what Im doing for Jay's tubing from turbo to intake. You might want one of them also.
The adaptor for the Peninsular is $195. Its quite abit more labor to make.

I still need to flange the pipe, but looks like it will work. The end closest to intake was a very tight fit. I was wondering if it was going to allow this set up, but it looks to be good. just ned to flange it.
You interested in one Paul?

I'm yoni to send you the 90* "Cumins" elbow I use so you can see how it lines up.
From the photos above, I'm not certain it will.

Leroy, I *LOVE* it!!

Paul, am thinking the Cummins elbow will work with either a long 2-1/2" silicon connector (compressor to elbow) or going with three silicon connectors plus a short 2-1/2" metal pipe.

OK. you have my address?

Awesome. I'll be very busy today, but should be able to flange the pipe tonight. Looks like it will be Monday before I can mail everything to you anyway.

"I'm yoni send you...." That will teach me to text while in neck traction at the Chiropractor. Sheesh.

Yes, I have your address and will get it out to you after the holiday. The turbo to intake tube looks very good. I like the fact that there are fewer silicon hose junctures (two vs. the three my set up would have) However, if it is designed as an ATT specific application, it may not work for me. The Garret's opening is 2" and regardless of intake, OEM or the Cummins part, the diameter needs to be necked down from 2.5 to make the juncture. Do they make a 3" to 2" coupler?

With the Cummins part, I think there is enough wiggle room to make the juncture work. I just figured I'd let you take a look at it first hand and see.
With the inter cooler shots, is that a Peninsular reverse mounted on the IC to mate up?

Someone had asked about how things lined up between turbo and the new Heath (S-84). I'll post up the shots I took over on that thread.

I asked you in the PM if your turbo/Heaths would benefit from an adaptor also.
Pics would be great showing the diff in height.
