I keep staring at those headers...hmy1:
someone did a really nice job on those headers
I sent up another camera so they could get happy snaps of my build which will be posted later. Sorry, that's the best I can do. 1st camera turned in to a 'lovely parting gift' for the original builder.
I think that would be "Doug's Headers" if I'm not mistaken
RE: Camera - The gift that keeps on Taking!!........Add another one to the list!
I have recouped 'payment through his former boss who is making it 'right'. The heads will be a part of the shops apparent agreement to rebuild the guys motor (long story that I've not got enough details to go into to get it straight). So, in short, I've purchased a set of heads for Heath Diesel. Heath Diesel is making it right by building the motor. Building motors for customers is not one of the services Heath Diesel does. Yes they build them but mainly for shop/business uses and on the rare exception for someone outside the shop when time permits. In this case, the stars align and I've got the exception as time doesn't really permit but I guess I'm just a prince of a fellow.I would be recouping payment on those heads one way or another..!! Sorry to hear of your misfortune though.
Not sure who made the headers. I'm sure he's told me but it was a while ago, outa my reach or needs and, therefore, forgotten.
The list is long and heartbreaking when looking back on it all. The camera was the least expensive item on the list of items given as either gifts to him and his family over the years or, more recently, in trade for services.
The "trade for services" was a set of cylinder heads. I purchased a set of Peninsular Heads as 'payment' to build my motor and sent the camera for documenting the build. He was to keep the camera for himself afterwards. I even picked a blue camera to compliment his truck. Well, he lost his job before work started on my engine but not until after he got the heads on his truck and HIS motor running. Later he said he couldn't keep the camera and would give it to 635 to document the build, but that didn't happen even after several opportunities to do so.:???:
Oh well, Over all, I'm sure he meant well and I meant well and it didn't just didn't work out...his choice. I hate to lose a friend over an inexpensive camera, "but he did!":nonod:
"Life...Be in it" and learn from it.
It won't be Caterpillar Yellow either I can tell you that!
Black Lower Intake, Valve Covers and Oil Pan; Gun metal Grey Block and Heads; Polished aluminum Upper Intake (OEM or Peninsular, GM-8 or ATT and, of course, Purple Anodized Spacer for use with the Peninsular and ATT (sorry Mike [not really])
Here's one of Heath's LSR motors from a couple years back. Mine will be black where his is gold and his exhaust manifolds are a little different than the ones I'm using...cheater!.:agreed:

Wasn't that the motor (or the twin of) the one featured in Diesel Power a year or so ago in Bill's LSR attempt? Those custom headers are a dead ringer for the dual turbo set up ran on that motor.
