Fuel To injectors, still no start

except you get some fuel to the injectors. IPs are a little expensive, which is why I'd try all the tests you can do. It sounds more like you have a PCM issue if you dont get any codes with OS unplugged. So if the checks I said earlier check out then maybe I'd consider IP, but I wouldnt replace IP without trying another PMD first.

Here is the confusion Buddy sort of reads like you are pointing to PCM, are you suggesting PCM, but also offering up the loan of the PMD to eliminate that possibility ???

i replaced OPS, injectors, glow plugs, fuel filter, i put the cam at 12 and the IP gear at 6, the timing chain was already set when i got it, international diesel did it, so i couldn't see the crank timing mark, but they told me that it is timed correctly, so if thats right, and ip is right, could it still be off? and if the timing is off wouldn't it still give the os codes with it unplugged?

I did offer him to test the PMD because we all know how mysterious they are and often they fail, but also sent him a PM to offer a spare 95 PCM if you really have to know, since I dont need two of them that I have.

I said PCM issue, doesnt mean fried PCM. I explained the reasoning, that he is not getting logical codes with unplugged OS. So the PCM must not think it is supposed to be starting the engine or something internal is not jiving.

I've attached a cheat sheet for verifying PMD signals. Make sure these are present at IGN ON engine Off. I have to verify the output to the Fuel Solenoid which is abbreviated F/Sol, but Im out of town without my truck for a week.

It could be that the OS wires to the PCM are shorted somewhere, which is why I suggest some of the previous testing.

alright, i am having pcm problems, i hsve open circuit 339, not sure about 984 it lasted for about 3-5 sec then dropped off. i didn't check 950 because i wasn't sure, it said B+ is 12 DCV, does that mean to connect it to any 12V source? didn't want to chance anything so it didnt, i know that 339 goes to fuel sol fuse and that goes to ign switch so i checked and have power after i turn key on, i checked engine harness and its plugged in tight and the wires aren't bare anyway and shorting that i can see, i pulled my intake off so i could inspect better to make sure, so i guess i'll start there get a different pcm and retest

ckt339 should have 12V on it, and if it doesn't check your F/Sol fuse under the wheel is actually good (EDIT: sorry Jason, didnt see that you checked fuse, was on my smart phone with litte screen) If its open, a real issue, but not hard to solve. Are you reading the 12V at the 15pin engine harness pin F? (thats shown in previously posted diagram) If you cant figure out where its broken, put another fused IGN source on it and see if it starts.

ckt950 should be 0, ground, so if you test it to the positive battery you should see 12V. or just test it over to ckt985
ckt985 is an important one. that it has the 5.6V when testing it to a ground.

I came up with a theory how you can get no DTC 17/18 with OS unplugged, it has to do with the crank sensor also not functioning correctly, but not completely failing to where you get a DTC 19 when cranking.

Any updates on the PMD power?

no i didn't get a chance to work on it, ive been working a lot lately so hopefully this weekend i will get to it

I had a chance to verify the voltages on the PMD harness and modified the previously posted document slightly. I couldnt edit that one so I am posting a newer version.
