Auto. I brought my camera to work today. I will snap pics again. I have to talk to my mother tonight and see if she has decided whether or not she wants to sell my fathers truck. That will play a major factor. Of course If I buy th ccdrw someething will have to go. either the CUCV or the BUrb. That is a tough on. I love both trucks. I could take the CUCV off the road for the summer and put the CCDRW on an then when campig season is over switch them back.....
The good thng about this truck is it alreay has the best cooling system. JUst a new fan clutch and good rad cleaning and it "should" be good to go.

compared to what I've seen lately thats a good price. some people trying to get 10 grand for a ccdrw on CL.
Keep trying, doesn't mean it's gone, just means the guy is like me and doesnt hear his phone or check his messages.

if it needs a drivers side fender I may be able to help you out.

Crappy pic but I talked to him today supposed to look at it Sat. IDK, lately everything I buy is a POS no matter how good I think it might be. I think I should just blow my brains out instead.

Yes drivers side fender for the dually bed. GM might still make those. It's black so easy to match. Has a class 4 hitch. I have just gotten so screwed on everyhting I have bought in the last year. The CUCV is the only thing that didn't turn into a moneypit/rag.:mad2:
We realllyyy need that suicide smiley. I could use it.

154k, check it out.....Def worth the money, as long there is no major damage hiding.....ask for history, why he's selling......you'll get a feel if the guy is a douchebag or if he's honest.....whats the interior look like?.....Check for blowby, take it for a spin and listen to your gut.

well Took it for a good 45 min test drive including highway. it runs sweet. Plenty of power. Tight down the road. A bit of a boat to drive. Wifey is not going to like it...:D
Threw a scanner on it after the test drive, no codes. No pressure in the cooling system even afte the test drive nor any on startup. Tranny fliud looked ok. Guy put a new DS4 on himself 9 months ago and never timed it. He said he scribed the old one and put the new one in excatly in same place so it can't be too far off. starts good although he just put new glws in and Thinks they may be WAPS so out they'll be comin. It needs tires. Good thing is I have 4 brand new ones that were on the CUCV when I got it so I only need two more. He has to pay the truck off to get the title so I may have to send 2500$ to his bank Monday to get the title released. So if all goes well I should hopefully have it by next midweek, next weekend at the latest. I just hope I'm not buying another rag cause I can't take another hit. I may hold onto the burb for few months incase the motor pukes in this thing . I don't think anything major could be wrong.
ok the bad:
oil filter adaptor leaking
Oil cooling lines leaking at crimps
ABS not working(junk anyway)
4wd felt slightly funny to me but tires are mismatched. Think that is all it is.
Front axle seal leaking at housing but not bad enough to fix yet.
A/C no workky but compressor is new and he said it worked last summer.
Drivers side rear fender for dually needs replacement. Truck is pretty clean rustwise. engine looks decent. Both before and after test drive I pulled the CDR off the elbow and then took off oil cap. No blowby at all.
Has small ex leak somewhere by turbo.
Turbo has oil around sillicone sleeve connecting to intake. Didn't have tools to pull elbow and check turbo for play. GM8's are a dime a dozen anyway thanks to ATT.
Saw some wetness under hydroboost. Possible leak.
Price for truck:5500$

$5500 is a really good price for that truck! And as a bonus, it looks almost identical to mine. I have a white ds fender, has had some bondo on it, but I think it was the better of the pair I bought. I'm using the other one and it needs a bunch more work iirc. I will take a look tomorrow and see what it needs, I really havent looked at it in months. If it looks worthwhile I'll send you some pics to see if you're interested. New ones are around $700+ from GM, only aftermarket I've found is Ricka, and they only sell pairs, $450+ shipping. I will make you a really extra special good DTR deal on it if you end up buying that truck and you want it.

Wifey not liking it is a plus, keep her out of it and keep the fenders on it;>

btw, what happened to that Jimmy plowtruck? Not happy?

Looks nice Kenny!!

4x4 always feels a little clunky, I think its the big beef Borg Warner!!

Its made for snow/mud/dirt, doesn't like pavement for sure.

It needs alot of of work and I was kidding myself thinking I could make it into a tow vechile. Sometimes my eyes forget how old the rest of me is. I'm not 20 anymore and doing frame/body swaps is just too much. The Dually needs minor repairs and most importantly isn't a pile of rust. No more rusty trucks for me. The burb will bring good money because outside of the frame being weak where the htch would bolt the rest is fine and the truck is very low mileage and runs oh so sweet. The frame could be repaired if someone wanted to tow, just too much work for me. I spent two hours getting a piece of metal rust dug out of my eye today so enough is enough. I really wanted a Dmax for sure this time around but after the beating I took on the Dodge I just don't want to go back in the hole right now and I don't know enough about them to feel secure about buying a used one. In fact I'd be better off buying another Dodge cause atleast now I know what to look for. Same with a 6.5TD. Hopefully I will have better luck with the Dually since I know these trucks pretty well but when you are looking at something for yourself, you always miss the obvious...
