Eye connectors

I've had quite a few off without ever draining the coolant and never saw any liquid, even started and idled a couple without issues
I dont know why, my Chiltons book calls for PTFE on the second bolts in from each end of the manifold and all the rest of the bolts calls for some kind of a loktite sealant. I thought maybe it is to keep crankcase pressures/oil inside and to keep the bolts from backing out.
IDK so I use PTFE thread sealant on the four bolts and the rest I use No.2 Permatex sealer. 🤷‍♂️😹

I think the gasket usually will take care of the leaks around the bolt holes. when I had my intake off I noticed I had what seemed a lot more oil around some of the lower parts of the mounting surface on the heads but not much at all inside the intake. there was also what looked like where some oil that seemed to had leaked into the valley from that area too. possibly what little oil leak I had after doing the valve covers the first time might have been coming from those bolts and out the lower ears of the intake gasket?

I’m the pain in the a** guy with another question probably last one till next year have to head to Colorado in a few days…so yesterday I hooked up what electric connection I could and tightened down intake manifold bleed the fuel filter till air bubbles gone left the injectors loose cranked it several times no fuel to inj so I take a break..bleed again air bubbles again and while standing half way in the cab I could hear the lift pump sound coming from the bed where there is a hose that goes down to the filler neck I think for utility fuel…so should that hose be blocked off? Adding pics of connectors not plugged in and auxiliary hose.

Whoa.
Is there fuel flowing through the clear hose you added out the ip return?
There should be. And it should be bubble free except 1 tiny one that will get trapped there. Flowing bubbles is the problem. No flowing fuel is a bigger problem.

And never worry about too many questions. Thats why we are all here.

Thanks Will hoping you would answer about the fuel question..no nothing shows in the clear line ..and the blue hose goes to filler neck I thought I could hear the lift pump sound coming from it ..the person I purchased from indicated it was for extra fuel if you need a long haul I think I didn’t ask too many questions not knowing much. Truthfully not sure how much fuel is in the tank..the gauge goes beyond full.. I should have got on repairing earlier..was planning on leaving just before thanksgiving but my wife needs me to help her sister is having brain surgery in a couple of weeks

Find where the extra line meets and post pictures.
Probably block it off is best. That might be your problem.
Even if the electronics of the ip is not working- you should have fuel flowing through that 1/4” clear line when cranking or when key is on position and the lift pump is running.

Will do batteries charged…try in the morning seems odd hearing the lift pump amplified from the back…probably spend one more day then have to start securing my house squatters and thieves in the neighborhood..about 2 years ago squatters tried moving in next door I called the neighbor and she said no she didn’t sell the house…police didn’t do nothing but tell them to leave…then thieves stole all her copper pipes, lawnmower ,tv,ect but thanks for your knowledge of fuel system

Any such thing as a bad fuel filter? I fixed ground from frame to head and made a new one frame to firewall, then replaced fuel filter and plugged the blue hose then tried to bleed the new filter nothing would come out of the bleeder hose I heard the lp working then loosened the bleeder screw so much fuel started coming out of sides but nothing out the bleeder hose. Tried it with blue hose plugged and unplugged.

Plugged fuel filter possible.
Also, lift pump making noise does not mean it is pumping.

You might have a bad fso (fuel shutoff solenoid). Unplug the wire, and unscrew the solenoid until it comes out. Then turn it back in about half way. The fso works by stopping flow out the ip return line (your new clear one). If the engine starts and wont shut off because it is unscrewed- just pinch and hold the 1/4” return line closed with a pair of pliers. It takes about 1 second. Be cautious of the fan and belt when doing this.

Suspecting no fuel supply, also You can take a small fuel can, put it on a ladder next to the truck.
5/16” Fuel line from inside it to the ip supply
Then 1/4” line from the return of the ip down inside the fuel tank also.
It is important both lines are submerged in fuel.

The ip will suck fuel when you crank the engine over. This is not ideal but helps analyze if the ip is working.

Testing the lift pump, just open the water in fuel drain valve and jumper power to the lift pump or turn on the key where you hear it making noise. It should run and pump some fuel out.
