Engine Safari

This weekend was a big engine hunting safari:rolleyes5:. On friday I bagged 3 engines. 2 660 [82] red blocks :thumbsup:and a 89 "660".
Saturday morning at 1am I set out to West Chester Iowa. It's 385 miles away. I got there at 7:45am to pick up the 8 military "660" engines that I bought.Very interesting trip back into 40-50mph head and cross winds. The 92 daily driver had it's hands full keeping 60mph on the long grades of interstate 35 and I- 380. I am now officially overwhelmed with engines:thumbsup::thumbsup:
The 2 red block 660s I got for $125, the 89-660 for $150. The military engines were $175 each[$1400 for 8]

And our next truck on the sled pull is a monster tribute to the 6.2 Detroit with 11 V-8 diesel engines bolted together… We will have to wait for the diesel smoke to clear from the 11 6.2 engines to verify the distance!

6.2s are OK too, I need to find another 6.2/6.5 to play with, maybe when I move out of CA and somewhere I can afford space to put them.

11- 6.5s 3 that positively run 3 ready to run 5 parts engines only 1 that could possibly be rebuilt
