Dyno results and discussion

So far we have 4 yeas from the original 10 donators. I think we need to have at least 5 (50%) to move ahead. perhap Buddy or Slim would care to anti up and thereby have a vote

Already said I would help War Wagon so Slim has antied up, my money is out there.

Buddy also drove out here and installed the turbo with some help. He even poured out the soot from the downpipe all over himself. :D It was a bigger job and the longest part was the battery swap to do the battery post mod to get the positive stud out of the way of the intake.

Real custom job here.

Already spoke with War Wagon, I will send him money direct once he finds out the price or I can send the dyno fund the money either way.Shouldn't we see how much it cost first, then split the cost up equally between the people that want to see the run done? So how much do we each have to pony up (dollar amount)?

I think $10 dollars is a reasonable minimum donation. I for one have no problem with you sending money to WW directly, the only issue that creates is there may be some people who don't realize that you are doing that and not understand why you get a vote. As far as how much the dyno costs it doesn't really matter at this time as there's only so much money in the dynofund. after that's used up the person using the dyno is on there own. So if people really want to see some numbers then they need to donate more to get more numbers

I will contribute more than that most likely, as long as the A-team gets in there as well. Not only the HX clone.

We don't have any control over that only WW does. Which is why I don't have any issues with you sending directly to WW

how did this turn into your personal testing platform? i would suggest that you go back to the start of this thread and read it fully.... we dynoed with a real hx. and dont care who dynoes or with what, if it is a smart, or a volks, or a duramax, honda civic or what ever... as long as the "CONTRIBUTERS" decide on a person, then thats that.... if you want to swamp everything with the a-team, then do it in your own thread, or your forum.... if WW is voted here to dyno, then so be it, or if it is someone with an hx clone or a garrett, or a gm-x then so be it, as long as the contributers decide together then thats what it will be..... we will not continue to contribute if you come in here and think you can influence everyone to do what you think should be done..... this fund was not created for that, sorry.....:hello:

Then I won't contribute through the dyno fund, that's pretty simple. I am not trying to influence anything, I should be able to contribute my money as I see fit. I didn't get a vote so it really is a non issue.

As you may know I offered to pay for part of the dyno run by War Wagon and contribute to his cost associated with the A-Team Turbo. I never said the Hx clone should not be on the dyno. I am saving your dyno fund because I would have payed for the whole thing to do the A-team, now I won't because I don't want to influence anything. That is why I never payed for 6.5L's truck, but I offered.

So settle down, I am not trying to tell anyone anything, unlike a lot of other people that do, here, with repeated regularity. Just look at the post count for me and the member number. Looks like I have a lot to say.

Why is the discussion of my turbo of such concern? I make a kit and sell a turbo, How is this such a controversial issue? I am not forcing anyone to buy the dam thing so how is it bad? We have a dyno run with a Mechanical pump 6.5 L five speed that put down 260.5 Horse and 397.5 foot pounds of torque on the large non standard A-Team Turbo housing. The smaller housing is going to be tested then hopefully someone will pony up a Hx clone and we can dyno a run on the same truck with the HX clone that I would pay part of because of the consistent data.

The numbers will be what they are whether I like them or not so either we get consistent data or we pick and chose what gets tested by your method which means the A-Team does not get a shot. Since I have ponied up three free turbos to various people to test I think that I have not been out of line. What is perceived is not necessarily what is, sometimes behind the scene dealings make hard feelings.

In closing I had offered to pay for War Wagons dyno run with the A-team completely. and then test the same truck with the HX clone. Which I was not going to pay for in it's entirety, what more can a man do ? Tell me what it is you have issues with

It would be useful for this site to have a dyno numbers section to quickly see charts and numbers to see what's been tested and compare runs. Maybe this site can add a section for this?

Tom and Dennis have both contributed behind the scenes. Not saying it gives them a vote or not and I don't think that is their main concern. Looks like Dennis wants to see how his turbo kit is doing and offered to cover testing it. Tom is curious as to why my 1995 6.2 setup smokes so much. IMO it is useful to have more than one baseline truck. After all baseline IP timing makes a difference the SOTP meter can feel as well as smoke output on my 1993. Just one of many possible differences.

The automatic transmission will be a difference over MT trucks. As the 1995 is fighting what I think is an air leak in the fuel system I will test the 1993 first with the ATT on it.

Well, I haven't voted yet, and I am a contributor, I will pass on this vote for now, this thread and idea started off as a good idea, but it has turned into something else. I don't think I will contribute again, but I might who knows, when I am ready, I will foot the cost for my truck and post the results for all to see.

AK, You can refund him if he's done playing. PM me and I'll match the money he contributed without disclosure to the amount.
