Dyno results and discussion

I'm seriously contemplating a cam kit from Heath. If I do, I'll do a before dyno with stock ECM, then I'll install the cam and do an after dyno with a stock ECM and then install the performance ECM and do an after dyno. I'm curious about the numbers.

Sounds like some time at Gillette Diesel is in the future or we could run up to Boise for the next Dyno Day's they have...October if I recall correctly.

I nominate Orion Thade as I'd like to see "these" numbers.

If it happens, it won't be until October/November. The Mrs isn't too keen on the idea since I'm planning to buy a Dmax in January. But I really want to see some actual numbers on the rollers to prove/disprove this cam.

Plus, I'm not sure I'm getting rid of the Tank, I'll probably use it as play around, offroad truck.

I am looking for a dyno partner this spring, around March or so.....

There is a shop in town ( Spartanburg,SC) that has a Mustang II dyno, I plan to run my truck but I would like someone else to run there's at the same time, same day, same dyno setup.... I will cover your cost, they charge 90$ pre hour.

I would prefer a manual pump motor, manual tranny, 3:73 gears would be nice to be the same as mine..... turbo doesn't matter, something other than a GMX would be nice but not required ......

I don't know of another 6.X around here, my thinking is that whatever the numbers are they would be better backed up with 2 at the same time....

Of course, the members here are open to vote one way or another, I am prepared to go this on my own, I just thought that if there was a stockish 6.5 that could be used as a base line things might be more better..

All thoughts are invited...

Both of the nominations are good.... as per usual, we'll vote for who is ready, then re-up for the other guys....we should be ready for another in the spring also....

Know of someone 30 minutes from spartansburg. He has a van with stock centermount turbo but slightly modded pump. And has a suburban with a hybrid hx-35/40 . Both vehicles are auto trans with mechanical pumps and he wants to dyno them both .

I talked to the dyno shop today and told them that there will be several trucks to run, they said they can do it, we will need to give them some notice, and I will make all the arrangements on this end, so if someone wants to make a run that's all good..... that way if I break someone can give me a ride home LOL..

Sounds like a previous member here? At least the one I am thinking of.
