:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Got started this morning at about 8 and reinstalled the battery cables, batteries and such.

A friend came over to help during the start up.

Run the lift pump until fuel was coming from the feed line from the Racor.
Installed the hose to the IP and then run the lift pump another 30 seconds with the key turned on to purge fuel though the IP and fill it up good.

Spun the engine for about 40 seconds with the glow plugs removed and had fuel mist coming from all 8 glow plug holes.

Installed the glow plugs (60G) and wires.

Turned the key on and waited for the glow light, hit the key, 3-4 seconds of cranking and Whaoooooom Rattle Rattle Rattle Rattle Rattle Rattle Rattle.

No smoke, no dropped cylinders, no missing, shaking or shuddering.

Shut down after 30-40 seconds to fill the cooling system with plain water.

Restarted the engine and warmed it up varying the speed from idle to 2500 RPM.

No leaks at all anywhere that are aparent.

Engine sounds absolutely great. Cold it has 60 PSI oil pressure at idle and 80 at 2000 RPM

Warm it idles at 40 runs at 60.

Tomorrow I will drain the water out of the system and add green glycol back to it.

Got to repair a few of the glow plug connectors as they are a little loose on the plug spades.

Hopefully I will get the last details done and get the front wheels back on and take the old girl for a test drive.

OMG the sucker sounds sooooooooooooooooooooooo nice.

Just need to put a set of 6" stacks on it now to make it really look great.

I will try and get some video footage soon and post a link.

Great News!

I wouldn't have expected anything less......

Gotta love that very distinct 6.5 rattle.

Maybe a sound clip for the "Massive Blowby Club" members?

This truck never had that usual electronic 6.5 Rattle. Was always more subdued and whn ya romp on it the thing roars like a 454.

I had the POP pressure set at 2000PSI on the fresh injectors and the rattle is not nearly the same as the 94 Burb.

The Burb sounds like a can full of sledge hammers when its started cold OMG

Now its possible that the timing on the Burb is set to the high side of the spec and the DaHoooley to the low side. ????????????

I dont have a tech tool so I can't tell.

DaHooooley runs sooooooo smooth that you can't hardly see the engine even wiggle when its idleing

Missy is very happy camper

Tomorrow I need to fool around and tidy up a few loose ends and then get the front wheels back on her.

I need to get the grill back in too, there were no leaks in the new cooler lines so I can do the grill.

The front skid pan has to go back on too.

I need to get the tags renewed and insurance back on it too.

Swapped the Insurance to the 91 Burb back when DaHoooley went down so I would have a spare rig.

I will try tomorrow to get some video shots with sound of DaHoooley running.

OH Funny thing, upon startup the thing blew a volume of Yellow Jackets out the tail pipe.

Little creatures (Nasty at that) had set up house keeping up there somewhere. That hot diesel smoke definately ruined their day. ):h

Ya could here the little buggers caughing ):h

Once the Tags and Ins are back on I will see about doing some power on drive by's Maybe a little Burn Out

Will see what we can get on tape.

Congrats Robyn!

That's just great! We're so happy that everything is back. DaHooooley must be happy to stretch her legs!

-Rob :)

Got a spare bedroom ):h

Hows the chow?? Do you pay good

With all honesty, this old girl is plain tuckerd out right now.

Going to try and finish the last tid bits today and give the truck a wash job and call it good for a while.

Have some domestic stuff that needs doing before summer is completely gone.

Once the rains come back I have the desire to build a 6.2 for the 91 Burb.

Possibly make that a winter project.

Get the engine all done and by spring ready to drop in the rig.

The 91 is a lovely Burb but 12 MPG around town is not part of my vocabulary.

I want a diesel that requires one wire to make it run.

Thanks so much for putting up with Li'l Ol me through this grand tribulation.

Here are some pix taken just a little bit ago. Also shot some video too and hope to have it up with a link in a bit too.

DIT DUH DIT DIT DUH DIT DIT NEWS UPDATE

Here is the link to the DaHoooley Rides again official video shot this afternoon.

www.bigborecanyon.com/DR2.wmv

This is a streaming video at 512 kbps and plays in Windows media player.

Should be good for all but those on dialup.

Tried to make it as good as possible and keep the file size reasonable.

For those who happen to hear it and wonder what it is, the high pitched clicking noise caught on the video is the sound of the injectors closing.

In real time you can't hear it very much but the sound system in the camcorder really picks it up.

The higher the pop pressure of the injector the more noticeable it is.
The 94 Burb really does it.

The tin shield on the turbo will echo that noise like crazy too.

Hope Ya'll enjoy the little up close and personal view of my handywork.

Hard to see all the pretty yellow paint after its all together.
