Cooper Discoverer A/T 3

I haul on gravel roads a lot (oversized loads on black top causes traffic issues). Also do a lot of pasture hauling loaded with hay.

I'd guess I'm running 3-4k pin weight usually. Maybe more at times.

Yikes!

I bet you could lighten your pin weight if you could adjust the axles on that trailer and move them forward a bit. Balance the load a little bit better. Is that possible?

Its probably possible but I haven't really had any issues with the set up. I have custom 2ton rear springs that rarely squat below level and if tire wear is the biggest concern then I can live with it.

Like I said, I might try a 3500hd 6.5l otherwise the newer F550 King ranch sure looks purdy

I have a drw rear axle with 4.10's I always wanted to try but a custom short bed drw flat bed would be in order. If I did that I would want to run 19.5 or 22.5 wheels eventually.

I like the big truck but I hate the interiors, mainly the seats.

Yup. Looks like a very basic, boring interior.
I wonder if the bigger rims would get you better tire wear?
On the downside, you would have less tire options.

I'm sure the 14ply option would help with wear. I'd like to just keep building this truck but $$$ for those big wheels and tires plus the need for possibly a lift to help with the CV angles all gets pricey

That looks good too. You may lack a little power, but the truck is probably better suited gor what you're towing. The DRWs should help too.

This is a 6.5 based forum so power can be dealt with lol. I don't get in a hurry with those loads anyways so a 6.5 should be able to keep up with some minor mods.
