Brought Home my Dually Today

if its a c and c the fuel tank would be behind the axle btwn the frame rails as well. and the standard truck that came with bed they are mounted on the driver side right behind the cab

Im gonna through a wrench in here.......One of my 94 C&C has the rear tank and the other C&C has a side mount tank. The side mount tank C&C is two monthes older.

So I did a little checking on the tstat crossover it is a single tstat but it is diff than my 94 1/2 ton. the one on my dually the tstat installs from the backside and my 94 installs from the topside. so I guess there are 3 crossovers used by oem

Yep. In early 96 they had a single T-stat that exited to the rear to clear the A/C. It should also have the LO-Flow water pump from 95. The HO pump and dual stats came in in late 96.

same here. my 95 is the rear tank (32 gallon i believe) as is dads 93. dads 92 has the midship tank. (24 gallon, IIRC)

96 and later had the twin tanks. there was a cost saving rear tank delete option, but other than that, they all came with two tanks. it is supposed to be 22 and 18, combined 40.

pickups of course have the single tank, unless the burb tank was put in.

on rear ends, it is my understanding that as far as 88-00 body style duallys go, there is just a skinny and a wide. the chassis cab came standard with the skinny, wide was optional, pickup came with the wide only.

same here. my 96 looks all weird, but appears to be single. my 95 has what sounds like what your 94 has.

I guess it is just for the accessory bracket changes in 96 talked about above.

well that was what i was told to tell the difference easily in c&c and regulares guess im wrong

I may be wrong, but I think C&C's have a shorter rear axles. Its hard for me to tell because I have such a funky service body, but I swear non C&C duallies sure look wider in the ass than my C&C.

It almost seems like my rear outers ride in the same trajectory as my front tires, where as a non C&C dually seems like they stick out another 6" on each side. Also the frames are different.

I also have 2 tanks, and the infamous balance transfer module, which nobody else on the internet has a problem with but me apparently.

Correct, C&C rear axles are quite a bit narrower, they are designed to tuck the outer dual under a service bed or flat bed that isn't much wider than the stock box.

Well another 500 mile round trip and I brought home a bed for my dually. Avg 14mpg and ran 65 mph most of the way.

I traded the crewcab I got from jamierayo (just the cab) for it. Jamie gave me the remnants of his 97 parts truck , the first 500 mile round trip to the north. The guy I got it from lived 500 mile roundtrip to the south. Didn't even cover 1/2 the state. So my out of pocket expenses are about $250 bucks in fuel.
