Banks sidewinder exhaust manifold group buy.

It is on the correct side. I have a secret plan to run one on each side, so hang onto your spare right side valve covers for now.

What's your thinking behind this? There are much more serious engines on earth that only vac from one valve cover.

Unless you are just running a breather tank.
 
Not a very good picture but tring to show the bolts I used as a guide to install valve covers. Video below shows more detail.

And now I can reveal what I needed two passenger side valve covers for. Obviously not plumbed in yet but you get the idea.

Yep, its a centrifuge It acts like a bypass oil filter. It takes oil pressure through a jet nozzle to spin a drum inside the housing. It spins at up yo 6000 RPM IIRC. I forget the amount of G force that is, but its a lot. The heavy stuff is slung against the wall and is trapped there. Its supposed to even take soot out of the oil.

Just because this is my shop/display truck I'll also be adding my Amsoil bypass filter to it as well. With the gapless rings, propane and two bypass oil filter systems the oil should be good for awhile.
 
Looks good Leroy. Good idea on the centrifuge mount, will it have to be braced? How's the hood clearance going to be?
 
I am going to brace it, will be made into the mount. Will clear hood fine. In the picture I have it sitting higher than it will be.

Not sure if it will take out soot, I use one to clean my waste oil. They do work awesome though.
 
"They" say it will. I run one on my 96 and when I clean it out it does look like what I would call soot. Not sure.
Also, I ran one on WVO and the stuff that came out of it was like peanut butter.

I got the fuge mounted up last night, came out real nice. I'll get some pictures later.
 
The soot is a ratio of carbon and ash. You drop out certain materials based on its specific gravity. If you could adjust oil flow to control speed of the Cf, you could run it at different speeds and take out a lot more contaminants. That would take some experimenting to figure how much time at which rpms...

Thats interesting. Almost like tuning into is frequency. As I'll be running an Amsoil bypass filter as well I can tune into two:D
