Bad Grinding in gear.??? $$$$ ????

Yep, that's what I'm bettin he'll see. I actually hope so at this point. Hate to see the tranny come down and it wasn't the problem.

:iagree:... No progress today... However...

Matty likes box trucks!. I have so much room in a 16' box my full truck worth of tools doesn't even make a dent. I could set the inside of one of those up really nicely!... Mobile shop.....

UH-OH:eek:

There is a saying I keep with me and it often applies as it does here: Sometimes forced change forces you to try new ideas which can optimize productivity with ideas you would never have tried otherwise.

Here's what it should look similar to when it's apart:eek:

I hope thats what we find. the new one sure looks pretty!

I remember someone had a P/N for x/o gaskets that match up for these, cross-referenced to a different vehicle IIRC.

I thought it was you Barry? Gonna need some of them, and I'll probably SS stud-n-bolt it.

Don't waste your time with SS Diesel. The studs can be gotton from any local autoparts store off the Help! rack. I just got mine form Advanced for the Dually. The donuts are best gotten from the dealer. I have a brand new set if you need them, just replace them.

SS Studs ... stainless steel from hardware store. Thanks for the offer on the donuts. If I can't find some I may take you up on that. If I do I'll order replacements shipped right to your house.

Oh...:D
I thought you meant SS diesels stud kit....:D
I have to deliver fuel in the am tommorow but otherwise should be around all weekend. Having rodent issues. Life in the country...
Yeah, unlkess someone knows something I don't I have never been able to get the right donuts from anyplace except the stealer which is why I keep spares in stock.

That's kinda how my work van is set up But I'm still running out of room. Only plus is I get about 15-16 mpg with it.

Matt, get an enclosed trailer, then you can still use your truck.

Don't worry Leo, 6.5, 6.2, old 6.9 if its right, but I'd really really like a Cab forward Diesel 4cyl or 6cyl or D-Max even. My rental's a E350.. I've always like driving the cab fowards. Drove a CF wrecker (tow truck) for a year or so. Absolutely loved it.

Has to be a diesel, Gasser you can just watch the fuel gauge go down.

Id love one of them, but Too frequently have trouble squeezing my rig in now. Those are too big. I like the 15-16' box, cab forward shortens the assembly considerably and turn like a damn champ. I'd love a 6.5T CF!

I've installed cabinets for about 15 years and for the past few years my employer supplied us with an Isuzu box truck. It's set up as a rolling workshop and is extremely handy for that reason. A workbench goes down one side, set up for a chop saw (can be taken out easily and set up inside the house) and behind the saw are shallow cabinets that go just short of the ceiling, leaving room for misc rippings and trim on top. The opposite wall is open for carrying the small jobs, vanity cabinets, cabinet doors, etc.

And, by the way, it of course is diesel powered.

Exactly what I may be looking for. Downside is can't plow with it... But I can see myself being extremely efficient carpentry wise in one.

little isuzu 16' diesel, take up the same footprint almost as a 12' Chevy/FOrd Cab n box.

Just so you are aware of this, the Isuzu we drove DID NOT get as good of mileage as most people seem to get out of their 6.5TD. The guy who drove it the most has a very heavy foot, but my employer also made comments about the mileage as he drove it for his own use for the first few years after he purchased it. Parts for Isuzu's are expensive around here, check around your area. I'm not trying to discourage you, just inform you before you pull the trigger. I would reccommend finding one to rent for a few days to see how you like them. They definately drive different than the 6.5TD.

I always wanted to plow with a cabover. Couple landscrapers around here have Mitsubishi Fuso dumps with 4wd and big plows. It must be awesome to look down on the plow like that. I can't even see my plow. Not a big Mitsu fan, but Isuzus are OK, I've actually worked in some Hinos (Toyota owned and built) and they were awesome trucks. No 4wd that I know of though.

Yeah if things don't work out with carpentry , you could always chop a sliding window in the side of it and sell Ice cream, drugs and guns in the Ghetto....

ha ha, that has to be the shortest stepvan Ive ever seen! Matt, you could paint it national chrome yellow (official schoolbus color) with a black stripe down the side, maybe get vanity plates reading SHRTBS. hee hee

pretty decent price for a utility work vehicle with no miles on a diesel. can't put an att on a p-series though:(
