Actual, honest, real world MPG from your 6.5

Ah, I was holding myself back from calling BS...Then I kinda thought that too. A 3/4 ton 4x4 6.5 aint getting no 27 mpg/US. That for sure is a BS call. I have owned enough of them in various configs to make that call.

I have a half tun by the way..... Both of them are. Can anyone tell me what that works out to in US MPG?

Before calling BS, you should realize that 1 Imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallons. So in US MPG that would be 22mpg US basically vs 27mpg Can.
I said that I realized it before I did..:D
Even 22 on a 4x4....Hmmm......... I had a 1/2 Tahoe and the best I ever got out of it was 18 and that was doin' 55mph.

Those ported heads really make a difference, and he doesnt have the same poor exhaust path design if using twin turbo. There is a lot to be gained from exhaust flow improvements. The odometer could be a little off too, even if the speedo is right, weird how that happens though.

I was surprised to hear that the odometer could read different from the speedo, thought they would be exactly the same. I just check my speedo's with gps, try a few different speeds like 40, 55, and 70 to get an average, and make corrections for mpg from there.

That's because they're both driven by a seprate electric drive motor.

The same signal comes in from the VSSB, each motor turns it's own geared spindle.

Tolerances in the gearing an variances in the motors can lead to slightly different readouts....

I'm gonna use GPS for this next tank and compare the speedo, odometer and GPS it's self. I will post results

Well my obdometer was out a little bit actually. It was reading less km then i was actually putting on so im getting better then i originaly thought! This tank consisted of more highway miles then the last one. I could have easly broke the 1000km mark for one 98 liter tank but i dident wanna be putting my spare jerry can in on the double lane highway. I also have a video driving at highway speeds when the tank was still half full if anyone sill wants to call BS. I dident get to fill up the truck when this tank was empty caues i wasent near a UFA so i couldent figure out exact MPG- for the liters of fule consumed. But like i said im guessing around that 27mpg highway.

I just can't believe 1000 kms on a tank of fuel in these trucks.....:33:

Come to Alberta and I will let you take it for a long drive at 80-85 km/h :p i really have no other way to prove what I'm getting lol

i'm getting 615 MILES a tank, what's that in km's? with that i'm getting 18 MILES per gallon.
also, when i fill up, i make sure i put as much as i can, top it off, not when it clicks. i'm able to get 5 more gallons in after it's clicked off. takes about 5-10 minutes longer to fill up but at least i know it's filled up the same each and every time.

exactly. that is how I do it, but my old man just clicks a few, and hangs it up. f**ks up my mpg figuring something fierce!
