A Team Turbo

Thanks, If the boost leak wasn't there it give a better indicator of the sound. The turbo is quiet. I was getting tired of the turbo whine of the old one at times. The ATT builds boost pretty much as quick as the GM-4. Leo

So much for the fuel economy ):h, well at least for that run . Pretty nice run.

Thanks Dennis, It's a great kit. I haven't driven the truck much since the install. It came out of a warm shop and the boost leak didn't show up then. Now with the cold I realize the hose clamp on the turbo needs to be tightened down. Leo

Thanks, glad to hear that it is something simple . Nice video. :D

Did the A team turbo whistle?

I didnt think the att would hit 15psi, that must have really been moving some air.

Mine hits 15 psi fairly quickly at WOT, if you have the fuel delivery. Fuel is what determines boost. I'm not as worried about high boost with this turbo because there is less exh. back pressure. Therefore less pressure in the cyl. Leo
  • Edit: It has a faint whistle, hard to hear with the boost leak. It may increase as it breaks in.

Also what's the cost? I don't like the set up that came with my ATT. Also can I install the boost probe into the beginning of the intake where the hose clamps?

I asked this question via another thread but no answer. Can someone give me the napa part number for the gates hose used between the the ATT and the intake. It's brownish and ribbed?

Why not just search online. It doesn't have to be from napa. Better yet, go to silicone intakes dot com and look on there for a silicone coupler. The 6.5 manifold is 2.5" but I'm not sure of the Att compressor outlet size.

Which one do you have? the old style orange one or the 2 piece blue silicone ones?

Thank you. I hadn't mentioned it before because I didn't know I could mention vendors names here. I now have 3k on my ATT and diamond eye that I purchased from leroy diesel in TX. Both he and the manufacturer have been more than helpful during install and working the bugs out. I spoke with him today regarding the the hose I want, problem solved. I can also say that I had a small complaint about pricing leroy didn't even bat an eyelash, fixed! These turbos aren't just toys my truck is strictly for hauling heavy steel to the seaport in boston. With the turbo and exsaust I've paid my investment off. As I'm typing my driver has the truck crusing at 65mph down the mass pike my temp doesn't fluctuate and there's plenty of petal left.

Any MPG changes good or bad? EGT's? Engine temps? etc. Do you drive it unloaded and if so, how is that?
